Senior Testing Engineer

As part of IME’s Photonics & Sensors Department, the candidate will take lead for the development of various testing capability for advanced photonics, including but not limited to chip-level and wafer-level testing of optical devices and electro-optical devices. You will work closely with an excellent multidisciplinary team working on advanced photonics.

Responsibilities:

• Develop various photonics testing capabilities for both chips and wafers, including design and building of measurement setups
• Optimize data acquisition and analysis process to improve test efficiency, e.g. automation of measurement processes for wafer-scale testing and corner analysis
• Perform chip-scale and wafer-scale data collection for OE, EO and OO devices
• Manage photonics laboratory including facilities management, health and safety, equipment calibration, inventory and stocktake
• Take on procurement duties for laboratory equipment and consumables
• Prepare technical presentations for internal meetings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent

The Rapid Response Damage Assessment (RRDA) program is seeking an Engineer or a Senior Engineer to assist with the modeling and analysis of vessel stability and hull strength for ships and offshore floating structures and verify their compliance with applicable Rules and Regulations.

· The RRDA program provides 24/7 technical assistance to ship and offshore floating structure related emergencies such as grounding and collision. When activated, RRDA is an extension of the vessel management team’s own response capability, focusing on the measure of changes occurring to hull strength, stability and the extent to which risk of pollution can be mitigated. This new position is expected to work along with a group of experienced engineers to respond to client service requests when emergencies occur or participate in routine vessel emergency response drills.

The RRDA work by nature of its complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in a particular field of engineering or science. Through broader and more technically challenging work assignments, the ideal candidate will develop a thorough understanding of policies, methods and procedures.

What You Will Do:

• Under the supervision of an experienced engineer or the RRDA manager, develop analysis models and perform detailed engineering analyses to assess vessel stability and hull strength and verify their compliance with applicable Rules and Regulations.
• Perform work which involves conventional engineering practices but may include complex problems such as the resolution of limited information provided by the client, conflicting client requirements, or time constraints.
• Develop technically accurate and timely reports, and responses to client phone calls, emails and other forms of communication for review by an experienced engineer or the RRDA manager.
• Prepare accurate and timely weekly reports and billing on all work performed.
• Communicate the status of the current workload to all appropriate members of the team to meet the needs of clients.
• Standby for and respond to client service requests on the rotating shift
• May propose technical advice to field operations and other technical offices.
• May propose new approaches to problems encountered and make recommendations for changes in methods, procedures or designs.
• May work directly with clients to identify and resolve problems in the area of technical expertise.
• Work as a team member within the RRDA response team. May work autonomously, once trained, with limited supervision.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

• B.S. degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Civil or Structural Engineering, or other related disciplines.
• Experience (coursework, research, or industry experience) with vessel stability calculations and ship and/or offshore floating structures is preferred
• Experience with stability software and/or salvage software such as Hecsalv, GHS, or NAPA is a plus.

We are seeking an experienced Geospatial Specialist to join our Modelling and Simulation (M&S) practice, which aims at spurring innovative geospatial systems and solutions for Whole-of-Government (WoG). M&S Cluster is currently leading Technology Transformation and Digitalisation effort using GIS in partnership with agencies technical team, IHLs and industry partners.

As a GIS Specialist, you will collaborate with a team of talented GIS architects and consultants who are passionate about emerging technologies, and the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to drive WoG geospatial projects. This role includes managing the entire project lifecycle from strategic planning to technical activities, including undertaking the requisite transformational and change management efforts to ensure a successful implementation.

You will also manage the overall end to end solutioning and implementation process for NParks centralized geospatial database and viewer, and deployment of system onto the Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and/or Government Commercial Cloud plus (GCC+).

What you will be working on:

• Provide Geospatial IT Consulting Services to government agencies, including:

- Solutioning : Develop deep understanding of Business Domain, perform business process analysis, conceptualise innovative solutions (involving multi-disciplinary components) to effectively address business needs

- Acquisition of System and Services : Develop functional specs, tender documents, evaluate tender bids

- Architecture & Design : Perform geospatial architecture planning, Develop data models and data base design, system architecture design and application design

- Applications Deployment : Perform quality assurance planning, configuration management, deployment planning, performance tuning and validation, user acceptance testing, and user training

• Knowledge of Customer relationship management (CRM) such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Appian, Outsystems, Pega, etc will be an added advantage

What we are looking for:
