Full-Cycle Recruitment

Ownership of the entire recruitment process:

• Sifting applicants, proactive sourcing, interviewing and shortlisting. Making use of behavioural/strength-based interviewing techniques.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration

• Foster strong partnerships with hiring managers to align recruitment strategies with business needs.
• Build a Business Partner relationship-setting the operating rhythm with regular 121s, attendance at management meetings and embedding in your regional leadership teams.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and internal teams to provide updates on recruitment activities, ensuring hiring strategies support team fit and growth.
• Act as a brand ambassador for Spencer Ogden, representing our company values in interactions with candidates and both internal and external stakeholders.
• Upskill, train and support Hiring managers on how to interpret Assessments, best practice for interviewing focussing on behavioural/strength-based questioning and post acceptance onboarding.

Candidate Experience and Brand Management

• Design and implement creative recruitment campaigns to attract top talent via social media, digital platforms and external relationships.

Recruitment Process Improvement and Compliance

• Continuously refine recruitment processes, tools, and strategies to ensure compliance and effectiveness and drive a best-in-class function.
• Maintain recruitment databases, ensuring timely updates and reporting on candidate interactions and recruitment metrics.

Data and Market Insights

• Stay up-to-date on market trends, providing insights and recommendations to enhance recruitment efforts.
• Use recruitment data to monitor pipeline health and track market trends, making data-informed improvements to the strategy.

Mentorship and Team Support

• Support junior team members by sharing best practices, offering guidance, and helping to set clear objectives that align with company goals.
• Act as a mentor to promote professional development within the team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

Ideal Profile:

• 3+ years in recruitment (agency or in-house) within global or multinational settings.
• 1+ years experience recruiting for Recruiters or Sales/BD roles
• Prior experience in APAC recruitment is essential -familiarity and use of local workforce/immigration platforms (such as MoM) highly desirable
• Proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter, social networks, and other sourcing tools.

The Principal OEM Business Manager is the relationship owner for the Amazon Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS)Device Manufacturing Services suppliers that provide co-development resources, procure components, design, manufacture and test digital devices.

Key job responsibilities
The OEM Business Manager has a dual responsibility to:

1) Lead the sourcing, selection, contract negotiation and management of one or more EMS suppliers in alignment with the overarching EMS strategy and within the Integrated Management System. Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in Engr. Services, Line Readiness, Quality, Business Management, Contract management and adherence, delivery, cost and social responsibility.

2) Actively engage the Device Operations and Engineering organizations with the EMS suppliers on one or more products/product lines to achieve the programmatic objectives.

3) In the case of an Advanced Products type situation to lead the commercial aspects of the relationship and drive multifunctional teams relative to third party ODM involvement.

This requires that the Principal OEM Business manager be both an advocate for the supplier within Lab126 and be their harshest critic to ensure the best possible performance. Upon success, the OEM Business Manager will instill a forward-thinking collaborative and mutually-beneficial long-term relationship with a holistic point of view, not just a product or single supplier perspective – a business owner. These high profile responsibilities require significant breadth and business acumen as the responsibilities are very diverse and impactful:

Technical - Solid understanding of the EMS supplier landscape and capabilities in addition to Digital Device technologies and manufacturing / testing methodologies. Understanding of Capital Equipment supplier landscape and capabilities.

Negotiation Skills – Able to negotiate best in class contract pricing, terms and conditions on large contracts with suppliers who are exceptionally skilled at protecting thin margins. Exercise good judgement in knowing when and how best to address issues or drive change. In the case of an ODM relationship lead all commercial discussions.

Contract Management – Ensure that the suppliers execute and adhere to the contracts and renegotiate whenever possible to realize benefits from bundling work with Strategic Suppliers. This is not limited to dollars but being able to protect Amazon’s bottom line in all aspects – IP, indemnity, confidentiality, etc. as these are all crucial to how Amazon is able to have successful launches (products that “wow” the customer). In the case of an ODM relationship ensure that the contracts protect Amazon’s brand and meet customer requirements.


Financial – Responsible for managing the business relationship including contracts, pricing, terms and conditions and claims. Must be an effective negotiator. The value of these supplier engagements can reach the billion-dollar level.

Relationship Builder – Must have the ability to engage, influence and arbitrate both the supplier and the Lab126 stakeholder organizations at the operational and Sr. Executive levels. The circumstances are often emotional and with severe pressure and limited time. Must build strong business cases and have a strong executive presence.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years experience in high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environment
• 7+ years direct experience in supplier / supply chain management
• Supply chain experience managing cross functional teams in a consumer electronics product company
• Familiarity with world-class sourcing methods and tools
• Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook / Access

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s degree

The ideal candidate is adept at translating business strategy into communications campaigns that are relevant, relatable, and effective. And excellent writer and builder of relationships, he or she has strong influencing, critical thinking, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

While primarily responsible for External Communications, experience in integrating External, Executive, and Internal Communications is important, along with the ability to partner with the Marketing team to integrate campaigns and to cross-pollinate. The candidate should understand how to build PESO campaigns, as well as how to build and execute on earned KOL strategies.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director for Strategic Communications, the Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective communication strategies to drive organisation objectives and outcomes via Strategic Communications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS:

1. External and Executive Communications:

Strategic Communications and media relations:

• Understand and translate business imperatives into strong external communications campaigns and execute on them.
• Be familiar with traditional media, both local and regional, so that media campaigns, pitches, and media relationships are strong and on target. Be familiar with key technology and business media.
• Build creative, non-traditional Communications campaigns with both traditional and online media in mind.
• Build and execute on earned KOL campaigns.
• Work with agency to drive success as needed

Storytelling and Messaging:

• Build strong narratives and messaging around key business imperatives and focus areas.
• Develop compelling content across various formats (briefing documents, executive LinkedIn content, press releases, news blogs, speeches, presentations)
• Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels
• Transform complex technical information into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences

Crisis Communications:

• Maintain crisis communication protocols and procedures
• Draft statements and responses during critical situations
• Monitor potential issues and provide early warning signals
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders if in crisis situations

Measurement and Analytics:

• Track and report on communication KPIs
• Analyze media coverage and campaign effectiveness
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities with agency

2. Internal Communications: Be familiar enough with Internal Communications to support internal communication if needed. This will include:

• Coordinating with other departments for aligned messaging as needed
• Developing internal newsletters and communication materials
• Helping maintain internal communication channels
