Singapore Excellen pte ltd is the new energy metal bulk commodity trading center, financial center and investment center for new projects overseas of Shanghai jayson Group, a rapid growing company.
We are looking for a dynamic person to join the operations department as a futures trader, under the guidance of the general manager and trade manager, responsible for the development of futures trading business related to commodity trading, using the futures market for hedging to manage price risk, while using commodity derivatives instruments to do a good job of risk management, establish and improve the company's futures trading strategy system.
I. Overview of the Position
Under the guidance of the Trade Manager and General Manager, the Futures Trader will explore and execute futures trading as a hedging strategy to support physical trading. The role involves data collection, trend analysis, risk management, daily trading support, and ensuring the implementation of trading strategies while maintaining company risk control.
II. Job Responsibilities and Tasks
1. Collect and track market data and trends
Regularly gather data from financial markets, futures markets, spot markets, and the metals industry. Monitor price fluctuations to stay updated on market dynamics.
2. Conduct trend analysis and provide forecasts
Analyze market trends, historical data, and other relevant information to evaluate futures and spot price trends, supporting company decision-making.
3. Manage futures and spot position exposures
Handle company exposures in futures and spot markets. Adjust futures positions based on market changes to ensure risks remain within reasonable limits.
4. Evaluate market dynamics and report risks
Periodically assess market conditions, identify potential risks, and report promptly to management, ensuring effective risk control in trading activities.
5. Address daily trading and risk control issues
Assist in resolving daily operational challenges in futures and spot trading to ensure smooth execution and effective risk management.
6. Update business documents and maintain records
Update and archive relevant business documents, maintain detailed records, and ensure data accuracy and completeness.
7. Comply with trading rules and execute futures trades
Strictly follow company trading rules and operational processes. Execute futures contracts and market operations in adherence to company policies.
III. Qualifications
Education Level
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Finance, or related fields.
Profession
Economics, Finance, or related fields; other majors with CFA or M6 certification will also be considered.
Experience
Familiarity with futures trading regulations and knowledge. Minimum 1 year of futures trading experience in non-ferrous metals (e.g., copper) or 3+ years in other industries.
Skills
Familiarity with commodity trade processes, experience with combining futures and spot trading models. Strong market analysis and prediction skills, adaptability, and observation abilities.
Qualities
Excellent judgment and communication skills, strong execution abilities, good psychological resilience, team spirit, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Other
Open to frequent interaction with traders and analysts. Proficient in both Chinese and English for effective communication with local suppliers and partners.
