Finance Department

We manage the financial needs of the GIC Group for ongoing business needs and building of new capabilities and capacity.

What impact can you make in this role?

You will be part of a team that provides financial management services across the GIC group.

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join Global Accounting and Operations team with the Finance Department on a 1 year contract. As a member of the Finance team, your responsibility includes support in Travel & Expense and corporate card administration, preparation of accounting transactions, reporting packages and intercompany settlement.

What will you do as an Accounting Associate on a 1 year contract?

Travel & Expense (T&E) Administration

• Support and execute the day-to-day T&E processes including expense reporting, expense audit, onward billings of T&E expenses.
• Assist in corporate card administration including card application, termination and monthly statement reconciliation, follow-up on long outstanding transactions
• Engage and work closely with end users, vendors and banks to resolve queries on T&E claims and corporate card transactions.
• Support delivery of new T&E initiatives and tools including user testing, change management and employee engagement.

Accounting & Reporting

• Responsible for the month-end close accounting and reporting activities that involves balance sheet review, intercompany settlement, analysis of accounting schedules, preparation of accounting transactions and reporting packages.
• Work with both internal and external stakeholders that includes accounting agents, tax agents and auditors on accounting operations, tax filings and regulatory filings.
• Perform analysis on the financial statements and address queries from auditors and authorities.
• Assist in prepayment processing and accounting and ensuring completeness.
• Identify and implement process improvements.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional qualification and 5 to 8 years relevant working experience in an accounting and travel and expense administration function
• A strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, who is keen to learn and pick up new challenges in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• Driven self-starter, with strong initiative, who is hands-on and comfortable to manage multiple tasks, resourceful and able to work collaboratively with different stakeholders, and can work independently to deliver outcomes
• Communicates in a clear, succinct, organised and convincing manner verbally and in writing
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have practical working experience with accounting software systems (SAP experience is preferred)

The role of an Aviation Surveyor investigates and reports upon Aviation incidents for and on behalf of Aviation Insurers and provides technical services.

Key Responsibilities

· Receipt of new claim instructions and initiating claims handling procedures.

· Attendance at incident site (where applicable) to complete a thorough investigation of loss circumstances and damages sustained.

· Liaison with official accident investigation agencies (governmental and/or commercial) and other agencies including airport authorities, landowners, etc.

· Evaluation and assessment of all elements which may impact upon Underwriters’ potential exposure under the Policy of Insurance.

Qualifications

· Diploma / Degree / Certificate Holder in Aero skills / Aeronautical Engineering / Aircraft Maintenance or similar

· Holder of an EASA (or equivalent) aircraft maintenance engineers licence with at least 10 year’s working experience.

Technical Skills and Experience

· International / global experience of hands-on aircraft maintenance and repair across multiple countries and jurisdictions.

· Strong Aerospace engineering background, both technical and managerial.

· Experience of aircraft structural repairs on large commercial, business or general aviation aircraft, ideally including helicopters.

· Previous adjusting or surveying experience would be desirable.

Job Descriptions

• The incumbent will be assisting in the preparation of cooked food items and sauces, as well as mise en place for seafood from Japan. He/She will also handle all back kitchen work.
• The incumbent will be working closely with the Second Chef in contributing towards the delivery of quality food to all guests at a consistent level while demonstrating an understanding of food hygiene and safety in the kitchen to set a good example for all junior chefs in the kitchen.
• The top priority is to ensure that all good production is achieved on a satisfactory level or beyond the service standards.
