Job Summary

This will include preparing the quarterly reserves, uploading these into SCORs systems (accounting system and reserving data warehouse), understanding and analysing the results and movements, reviewing the work of other team members, and producing reports. About the Department: APAC Actuarial

The APAC Actuarial team is based in SCOR’s offices in Singapore, Sydney, Beijing and Seoul, and covers both Life & Health and Property & Casualty business. This includes business written in c.30 countries and 13 legal entities in the region. We are a diverse and engaged team, providing expert actuarial analysis and insight for our stakeholders. Key duties and responsibilities

Valuation & Closing Process

1. Review and production support of the IFRS 4, IFRS 17 and Solvency II for the North Asia market
2. Liaise with local Technical Accounting team to produce IFRS result
3. Respond to the external actuarial audit process for North Asia and relationships with local auditors on actuarial topics
4. Liaise with IT to streamline and automate valuation process

Modelling

1. Assist with quarterly Prophet User Acceptance Testing

• Perform routine daily inspections around the building and surrounding areas to check for building defects, safety issues and non-compliance of building regulation and house rules.

Group Reporting

• Support the production of L&H reserves for Group results (IFRS 4, IFRS 17, SII) each quarter, participating in the landing process and ensuring the results are robust.
• Provide value adding insight on the drivers of financial performance, movements in IFRS and SII results, experience emergence, and recommendations for management actions.

• Be the overall lead for all Covea reporting work in the region
• Provide support in the implementation of new regulatory & reporting regimes
• Provide support in the implementation of new regimes – such as IFRS17 – across the L&H actuarial teams

Relationships

• Establish good working relations with Group and regional teams on Life & Health actuarial matters in APAC

Performing the full spectrum of duties required as a quantity surveyor

4. Following up on collections
5. Monitoring, managing, and checking that proper project closure documentation is completed
6. Monitoring, checking, and ensuring sub-contractors/vendors' bills are in order

d) Actively participating in ad hoc projects and other administrative duties

e) Awarding contracts and preparing contracts related documents

f) Submitting weekly updates on projects budget, costing, and claim status

g) Attending weekly and fortnightly projects/accounting meetings

h) Company reserves all right to amend above scope of works as and when required.
