What you'll do:
As a Regional Data and AI Engineerfor the Asia-Pacific region, your role will involve managing diverse data sources including sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, customer, and operational data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the region to establish streamlined data processes ensuring quality and consistency. By harnessing the power of data and AI, you will contribute significantly towards defining the future of customer experience while driving overall business success.
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient data pipelines from various sources into a centralised data warehouse.
- Identify opportunities to integrate data sources and minimise redundant data subscriptions.
- Develop and maintain a data catalogue to improve data accessibility for commercial teams.
- Create and manage master data related to products, customers, suppliers, inventory.
- Develop and implement data models to support sales forecasting, customer segmentation, pricing optimisation.
- Build and maintain a scalable and secure data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to identify data-driven opportunities.
- Develop a strategy to create a unique customer identifier across all omnichannel touchpoints.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends that can drive revenue growth.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through profiling and cleansing.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Regional Data and AI Engineerposition brings proven experience in designing efficient data pipelines from various sources into a centralised system. You have strong proficiency in SQL along with experience in programming languages such as Python or Rfor manipulating large datasets. Your understanding of cloud-based platforms like AWS or Azure will be crucial in this role. A background in supply chain management principles would be an added advantage. You are also expected to process datasets in Mandarin language and work closely with Chinese markets.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in data engineering with focus on integrating diverse data sources.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and knowledge of warehousing concepts.
- Experience with programming languages like Python or Rfor data manipulation.
- Understanding of cloud-based platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles is preferred.
- Experience with pharmaceutical industry regulations is a plus.
- Ability to process datasets in Mandarin language.
