The Director of Implementation Services is responsible for managing the team of Implementation Managers responsible for client installations across the APAC portfolio. This includes day-to-day management and execution of the team’s responsibilities as well as management of cross-functional strategic initiatives focused on service delivery optimization and post M&A integration.
The Director of Implementation Services responsibilities include management of client installations in a data center raised floor environment. This typically includes installation of racks, electrical distribution, cages, containment systems, and data cable infrastructure. He will manage multiple simultaneous projects across several data centers in their region using standard project and construction management best practices to ensure all installations are completed on time, in budget, and error-free to meet customer Ready for Service (RFS) dates that are contractually committed.

As Director Implementation Services you will manage day to day operation of the Implementation Services team. The team is responsible for service delivery in support of Hyperscale, colocation and enterprise clients across the APAC portfolio. In addition, the team is responsible for management of limited number of internal projects required to support growth and firm’s capabilities in product offering. You will provide technical oversight to individual team members and drive execution of individual and team’s objectives. Working cross-functionally with our Data Center Operations, Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Engineering, Asset Management, Construction Accounting and other teams, you will coordinate team’s execution of all work required for the installation of equipment and infrastructure within our data centers. It will be your mission to ensure team delivers on time, on budget and achieve high satisfaction rating from internal and external clients. The Requirements
· College Degree preferably technical (i.e.: Engineering, Tele Com. Computer Science etc.)
· Minimum 15 years of experience in operations, data center construction and/or in the telecommunications/engineering industry.
· Highlydeveloped data center industry knowledge, experience and perspective with commensurate verbal, analytical, presentation and writing skills.
· Skillful negotiation, conflict resolution and leadership skills.
· Team building and project management skills.
· Delegates effectively; has strong facilitation.
· Expert level knowledge of rack, cage, electrical distribution, and data cable infrastructure.
· Expert level knowledge in reading/interpreting construction plans, one-line drawings, and construction specifications.
· Familiarity with construction accounting and various forms of vendor agreements (MSA, AIA, etc.).
· Able to make effective presentations and respond to questions from internal and external clients.
· Highly developed customer service skills.
· Ability to analyze and solve problems involving several options with limited information.
· Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
· Must be detail oriented with excellent communications, interpersonal and oral/written presentation skills.
· Strong multi-tasking abilities,
· Must be a self-starter, proactive, flexible, and able to work within and meet deadlines.
· Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission critical facilities environment.
· Expert level proficiency in the use of MS Productivity tools, including Word, Access, Excel, Visio, Project,
· Position requires 40 % travel to support the APAC portfolio – Australia, Hong Kong, Sth Korea
The Role
· Manages the coordination of the activities of the functional area with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.

· Provide oversight to qualify vendors and implement firm’s procurement procedures including tendering projects, using RFPs, purchase orders, and cost tracking templates.
· Identify and rectify any steps in the process that are delaying installations.
· Identify cost savings opportunities either by leveraging supply chain or by driving discipline in getting the best value from the installers.
· Work with the various internal teams to ensure smooth execution on Digital’s and team’s objectives.
· Work closely with Operations, Data Center Engineering, Sales Engineering, Sales, Sales Operations, Construction Accounting, Procurement, Provisioning, Finance and other teams as required.
· Manage, direct and coordinate the activities of internal or contracted personnel or third parties who are providing services or performing on-site installations.
· Ensure high satisfaction rating from both internal and external clients. Demonstrate continuous improvement in client satisfaction.
Interface with clients on escalations and in any other circumstance as needed.
