Roles & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and perform detailed analysis of operating costs & profitability against budget/forecast across all processes in the factory and provide recommendations of practical measures to reduce cost(FP&A).
• Coordinate and communicate across relevant processes to conduct budget, forecast, and analysis and strategic planning for top management & HQ in Japan.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, to provide recommendations to optimize business processes.
• Monitor monthly expenses/marginal profit and business profit result to enhance organizational effectiveness by getting the organization become more result focused.
• Perform cost management activities throughout the company and provide analysis on cost behavioural pattern of business operation.

Requirements:

• 10 years & above working experience in manufacturing industry, including at least 3 years at managerial position. Candidate with experience in unique manufacturing environments is a plus for this post.
• At least 5years of related working experience in Finance/Budget/Forecast Planning/Month end closing/Bad debt reporting.
• Strategic thinking, ability to translate business vision into reality, decision maker, assertive personality.
• Able to effectively work under tight deadlines.
• Meticulous and good analytical skills.
• Must be computer literate: A very thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel in analysis and forecasting; and produce professional Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.

The School of Biological Sciences (SBS) is a school of the College of Science. It was established in 2002 with the mission to make a strong contribution to biological and biomedical sciences. Research areas at SBS include infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases and telomere biology and genome function. We are seeking a motivated Project Officer to join our team and examine protein complexes, with the aim of developing therapeutics against various diseases. The project will focus on the interactions of protein complexes in integrin signaling.

1) Molecular mechanisms of cell adhesion proteins (integrins), and developing therapeutics for cancer, inflammation, and blood-related diseases.

2) Host defense antimicrobial peptides and proteins, aiming to design new antimicrobial and antiendotoxic molecules.

3) De-novo designed synthetic proteins with functional properties.
