• Liaise with engineering & procurement department to ensure upstream deliverables are aligned.
• Contribute to planning and execution of C&A activities.
• Ensure QHSE performance of Contractor(s) is maintained with continuous improvement.
• Ensure necessary communication with interfacing disciplines and contribute to resolving interface issues in a timely manner.
• Within own discipline, drive engineering efficiency, secure safety in design, design-to-cost and constructability.
• During execution, support construction field engineers and take responsibility for decisions within own discipline within set timeframes, e.g. interdisciplinary input, handling of queries (TQ/SQ/CQ).
• Interfacing with Contractor(s) and client to bridge any communication gaps.
• Ensure experience transfer between projects, operations and discipline network.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or related engineering disciplines, Diploma holders with relevant experience are welcomed to apply
• Candidates with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the marine & offshore industry
• Able to station overseas in China
• Able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
• Able to motivate in a challenging work environment
• Good in planning, organising, interpersonal skills and able to work independently

Responsibilities:

• Involved in technical reviews and clarifications with customer and suppliers.
• Involved in coordination of design with other engineering disciplines.
• Involved in all electrical engineering designs, calculations, preparing bill of materials including measurement and sizing, and liaise with customer and suppliers for any engineering query.
• Involved in design and construction document preparation and submissions.
• Involved in construction, installation, testing and commission activities.
• Able to use autocad/drafting software and also guide drafters for drafting

Requirements:

• Good team player. Can work with others harmoniously.
• Willing to learn new activities.
• Good communication skills in English both written & spoken.
• Must know basic electrical design knowledge.
• Know how to do electrical cable sizing, voltage drop, cable gland sizing and cable schedule.
• Know how to do lighting calculation and can operate lighting software like Dialux.
• Know how to do overcurrent protection device sizing and selection.
• Know how to do electrical equipment installation.
• Must know how to operate and draw in AutoCAD.
• Must know basic fire and gas detection knowledge.
• Must know how to operate MS office (minimum Word and Excel).
• Prepared to travel if required for overseas meeting
• Min Diploma/ Degree in Engineering or related field.
