- JOB SUMMARY
The SAAC Engineer handles security operations, oversees officers, ensures systems, and supports compliance under EHSS leadership.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Security Operations:
- Develop and implement security protocols to ensure the safety of personnel, assets, and property.
- Oversee and coordinate the deployment and performance of security officers provided by external security agencies.
- Monitor and address security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Conduct risk assessments, threat & vulnerability assessments, gap analysis, and site audits to evaluate and improve security measures.
- Draft, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security operations.
Security Infrastructure and Systems:
- Design, install, and maintain physical security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Identify and rectify deficiencies in existing security infrastructure to maintain functionality and compliance.
- Plan and execute upgrades or modifications to security systems and infrastructure.
- Evaluate advancements in physical security technology and recommend improvements.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and maintain all security-related documentation, such as incident reports, risk assessments, and compliance records.
- Ensure that all security operations and infrastructure comply with local laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Provide detailed reports and updates to the Head of EHSS regarding security operations and incidents.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and system updates.
RBA and SAAC Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with anti-corruption policies and RBA Code of Conduct requirements within security operations and the broader supply chain.
- Manage documentation and preparation for RBA audits, including supplier contracts, training records, incident reports, and corrective action plans.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to address non-compliance findings.
- Support anti-corruption training and awareness programs for internal teams, suppliers, and vendors.
- Monitor and report progress on RBA-related compliance activities to the Head of EHSS.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to address security concerns and implement solutions.
- Liaise with external security agencies, suppliers, and vendors to ensure their compliance with security and anti-corruption requirements.
- Serve as the point of contact for regulatory authorities and auditors during compliance inspections and RBA audits.
- MINIMUM ACADEMIC REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Security Management, Engineering, EHS, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimally graded as SS by PLRD
- Significant experience in physical security operations, infrastructure management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Expertise in physical security systems, such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
- A background in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in preparing and managing security documentation, including compliance reports.
- Familiarity with RBA standards, corporate security, and anti-corruption practices.
- Certifications in relevant security or EHS fields (e.g., CPP, PSP, NEBOSH, WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH) are an advantage.
