You will be joining a professional and international team with extensive knowledge of the industry. As part of our team, you will provide your technical expertise on Safety matters such as conducting risk assessments to ensuring compliance with safety standards. Your expertise ensures that we will continue to set the industry benchmark for seamless and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly safety trainings and annual safety drills at the depot. Conduct safety induction course for all new employees and visitors.
- Ensure all safety equipment, machines and tools are checked, serviced and tested as per regulatory requirements and in-house maintenance program.
- Review periodically depot OHSE manual as per stipulated. Suggest updating OHSE requirements include local authorities’ regulations and implement changes accordingly upon Depot Manager’s approval, keeping management informed.
- Review and make recommendation on investigation and risk assessment outcome of safety related incidents, preventive actions and safe work practices.
- Jointly perform risk assessment on new business/depot activities (includes management of change) with relevant department heads and submit to Depot Manager for review and approval.
- Report to local authorities as per regulatory requirement on safety related incidents and keeping management informed.
- Jointly assess and ensure workshop permit systems are valid as per compliance.
- Conduct weekly safety walk and monthly inspection program are conducted as per compliance and rectifications are completed promptly.
- Conduct periodic review of incident trends and effectiveness of safety performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Keep abreast with safety incidents and share with staffs and management and recommend preventive actions.
- Responsible to update Global Safety System and ensure compliance with PEP program.
Qualifications
- Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Grad Diploma, Professional Degree, Chemistry, Engineer (Chemical), Engineering (Environmental/Healthy/Safety), Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas) or equivalent.
- Required to have Certificate for: Manhole Entry, Work At Height Assessor, Confined Space Assessor.
- At least 5 years of working experience in safety related field.
- Preferably managers specializing in Engineering – Chemicals, Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery) or equivalent.
- WSH Registered Officer.
