Position Overview:

Respond to and support operations in Marine emergency response, oil spill, maritime/land and contracts or planned projects as needed and under varying environmental conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Execution of fieldwork encompassed in marine services, emergency/oil spill response, industrial cleaning, and site cleanup projects while under minimum supervision.
2. Safe operations of vessels involved in booming operations, skimming operations and other vessel operations as required.
3. Load/ unload equipment / boom and anchors from and into vessels, vans, flatbeds, trailers.
4. Attach and deploy boom of various size, set anchor systems and removal of same safely.
5. Operate a diaphragm pumps, skimmers, boats, forklift, blowers.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• 10+ years' experience performing labor related work and operating boats preferably in the marine oil spill and emergency response industry.
• Must be a self-starter such as finding work to do between direct assignments, follow through with tasks, and take ownership and pride in work performed.
• Must have a consistent and reliable work ethic by adhering to work schedules utilizing time efficiently in order to complete assigned tasks within defined deadlines.
• Must be willing and able to travel and work extended hours including on-call rotation shifts in order to meet operational demands.
