Edmund Optics Singapore is moving towards increasing process automation and is looking for an Automation Engineer with the passion and interest to learn and contribute in transforming current processes with automated solutions to enhance our competitiveness in the high-end optical components market. He/she will be working closely with internal and external partners.

Job Description (of the role):

· Assist the design, development, configuration and implementation of mechanical/electronic systems, which will optimize efficiencies, stabilize yield and enhance EO’s capabilities, from concept to pilot

· Recommend, acquire, implement and optimize mechanical/electronic components

· Provide timely support to the relevant OPs teams on the running of processes through pilot phase and into production phase and create and maintain solution documentation

Qualifications Required:

· Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or other relevant Engineering or Physics field

Skills & Abilities Required:

· Proven track record of developing and implementing automation solutions

· Demonstrable experience setting up programmable logic controller (PLC), single-board computers and/or robotic or automated systems, preferably in an industrial environment would be advantageous

· Results oriented and possessing a hands-on attitude

· Solid team player, strong interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment

· Analytical problem solving and attention to detail

· Highly self-driven and ability to work independently

The Chef is responsible for preparing food items for the manufacturing of cooked-food preparations such as frozen dinners. They must know a variety of cooking techniques, ingredients, and garnishes, as well as accurately follow recipes and interpret them to create consistent products.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

• Prepare large batches of food items according to established recipes and production guidelines
• Monitor production line to ensure that product is cooked and prepared according to specification.
• Plan and determine preparation times based on recipes for efficient production
• Ensure all food items being prepared are following the recipes
• Prepare ingredients for production such as washing, chopping, cutting, etc.
• Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that the standards are met
• Measure and weigh ingredients according to recipe specifications
• Properly store and handle ingredients to prevent contamination or spoilage
• Ensure that all supplies and ingredients are available and properly stocked.
• Monitor and adjust cooking time and temperature as needed to ensure quality of product
• Clean and maintain cooking equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
• Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards. Follow proper sanitation procedures, including regular handwashing, and maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cook in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in the production of cooked-food preparations or frozen dinners in both Indian and Bangladesh cuisines.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and industrial safety standards
• Must be able to work on weekends and public holidays if necessary and overtime whenever required
• Must have knowledge to control storage temperatures for frozen/fresh meat products and cooked-food products
• Physical stamina and will power to stand for long hours and work for extended hours too in order to experiment in creating new dishes
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistent product quality.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Able to handle all aspects relating to the accounting functions to facilitate the closing of the full set of accounts (eg: GL, AP, AR, Bank Reconciliation, etc).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Prepare and send invoices to customers and follow up on overdue payments.
• Process and pay supplier invoices, ensuring timely payment and accurate recording.
• Reconcile company accounts, including bank statements, credit card statements and employees expenses claims.
• Communicate with customers ad suppliers regarding financial matters, including payments, invoices and credit notes.
• Assist in performing financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Assist in preparing for audits and providing information to auditors as needed.
• Assist with additional tasks or projects as assigned by the management.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in AP, AR and Accounting processes.
• Knowledge of Sage accounting software will be an advantage.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Organised, self-driven and able to multi-task well under pressure.
• Able to work in a fast-paced working environment.
• Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
