We are looking for a Research Fellow to develop sensors and mitigants for bacterial contaminations in the cellular agriculture industry. An essential part of this research work is using protein-protein interactions (PPI) of the target bacteria both as basis for sensors development and as targets for mitigation. Peptides based on these PPI interfaces will serve for sensing the target bacteria as well as starting points for non-antibiotic mitigants. The job will include identifying potential target protein-protein interactions of the bacteria, designing and synthesizing peptides derived from these PPI interfaces, evaluating their inhibitory activity and antimicrobial activity and developing more advanced and active derivatives. Experience in peptide design and synthesis and in protein biochemistry is required, with expertise in recombinant protein expression and purification being an advantage. as well as independence and creativity.

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Process Engineer to design, implement, and optimize processes. Key responsibilities include reviewing process design documents, participating in safety and design reviews, managing change control, vendor relations, and quality risk assessments. You will oversee commissioning, qualification, and validation activities while ensuring HSE compliance. Additionally, you'll troubleshoot process issues, manage deviations, and provide SME input. Collaboration with stakeholders, SOP generation, and completing training on time are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Process Design: Develop and review key process design documents (P&IDs, PFDs, URS, data sheets) to ensure optimal system performance and compliance.
• Drive Safety & Design Excellence: Contribute to safety and design reviews (3D models, HAZOP, DQ) to guarantee robust and safe process designs.
• Manage Project Changes: Oversee site and project change control, ensuring smooth transitions and effective execution of process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum Degree in Engineering or Science Disciplines
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related field / Pharmaceutical Industry
• Proven track record in following and promoting Safety in all aspects of your role
• Strong process and automation knowledge, adequate knowledge in utility and HVAC
• Project management / coordination experience
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Adequate knowledge on cGMP and other regulatory requirements, guidelines and industry best practices

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow in transition metal catalysis at the Zhong Group. CCEB is a newly established interdisciplinary joint school under College of Engineering and College of Science at NTU Singapore. The Zhong group works at the interface of organometallic and organic chemistry to develop new generations of transition metal catalysts and reagents for novel organic transformations.

The Research Fellow will take on a significant role in conduct cutting-edge research in transition metal catalysis and organic methodology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine lab research and data analysis in organic chemistry and organometallic chemistry.
• Assist in instrument installation and maintenance, and acquisition of lab consumables.

Job Description

• Lead the process and mechanical team for process plant EPC project, including design, engineering, supporting procurement & installation, and testing & commissioning works
• Review tender specifications and meticulously evaluate vendor proposals for process mechanical equipment, propose suitable equipment brands for tender submission and procurement, prepare cost estimations for process mechanical work during the tender stage
• Provide support during the procurement, contract negotiation, and progress claim processes throughout project execution
