This role supports the Project Manager. It involves the planning and co-ordination of site work. The person in this role needs to be good at communication and obtaining feedback. Instructions must be given to site personnel in a manner that is easy to understand and the person needs to ensure his instructions are understood correctly. This person will also help the Project Manager with any issues that may arise on site.
Job Scope:
1.) Plan and coordinate site work
- Attend meeting with Main Con and work with PM to prepare relevant information i.e. drawings for approval.
- After approval, update Site Personnel of requirements.
- Prepare necessary permits, drawings to get clearance from authorities.
- Co-ordinate with PM, Site Supervisors and Main Contractor.
2.) Attend site meetings
- Ensure approved construction methods are communicated clearly to site personnel.
- Communicate frequently with PM and Site Supervisors.
- Prepare and pass updated drawings to Site Supervisors.
- Go through drawings and permits and explain to site personnel.
- Clarify with PM if unsure.
- Make decision on behalf of PM if there is a need on site.
- Please note that site can be by the roadsides, at substations or in tunnels. There will be some exposure to the elements.
3.) Submit applications for wayleave to relevant authorities.
- Process for application: Road Opening application, NCE, Purchase of Services Plan, Prepare drawing submission
- Monitor and submit site progress reports
- Submit weekly schedules to client
- Submit monthly progress report to PM

Requirements:
- Possess certificate "Manage Workplace Safety and Health in Construction Sites (or Construction Safety Course for Project Managers)".
- Required to sign Permit To Work.
- Proven track record with SP group's projects in high voltage power cable installations.
- Candidates with class 3 license and/or their own transport will be viewed favourably.
- Working hours: Monday - Saturday, 8am-5pm
