• Operate the power plant according to procedures and requirements including but not limited to starting, loading, unloading and shutting down the complete plant and systems

The research fellow will focus on two main aspects: 1) theoretical research on optical transverse angular momentum, and 2) the generation, measurement, and application of light fields carrying angular momentum or certain polarization states in long pulses.

Optical transverse angular momentum represents a cutting-edge topic in the field of optics. In the past three years, it has garnered significant attention and extensive research within the scientific community, with related work frequently published in top-tier journals. However, the theoretical understanding of optical transverse angular momentum is still in its infancy. The current theoretical frameworks remain unclear and lack solid foundations, with considerable discrepancies in its definition and calculation. Therefore, advancing its theoretical research is crucial, and this is expected to become a prominent research direction in optics in the coming years.

Additionally, experimental work on vortex light fields can also be pursued. While the generation and study of light beams carrying longitudinal angular momentum are already well-established, research on the generation and measurement techniques for light pulses carrying both longitudinal and transverse angular momentum is still in the early stages. Moreover, exploring potential applications of these light fields remains an open frontier. Theoretical studies involving optical vortices in pulses and ultrafast optics require further development to establish a comprehensive research framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct theoretical research on optical transverse orbital angular momentum, focusing on its definition and calculation
• Develop methods for numerical simulation for optical longitudinal and transverse angular momentum or generating and measuring light fields carrying longitudinal and transverse angular momentum. Investigate the practical applications of these light fields, such as using them as detection signals in various scenarios (e.g., interactions with different material interfaces)
• Work on the generation and measurement of long pulses with modified power spectrum and explore their applications in the field of communications

Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning for the Singapore entity. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and cash flow management.

• Store Sales Data Analysis and Sales Management for the Singapore Subsidiary

Analyze sales performance data, prepare sales forecasts, and provide insights to optimize revenue and operational efficiency. Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to manage performance and enhance sales strategies.

• Monitoring and Improvement Support for Financial and Accounting Operations in Southeast Asia and India

Support and monitor the financial and accounting processes across subsidiaries in Southeast Asia and India, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. Assist with process improvement initiatives and provide recommendations for efficiency gains.

• Promotion of the New Accounting ERP System Implementation Project Across Southeast Asia

Lead the deployment of a new ERP system within Southeast Asia subsidiaries, ensuring smooth implementation and effective adoption. Provide training and support to local teams to ensure successful system integration.

• Support for CFO Operations Across Southeast Asia

Assist the CFO in overseeing financial operations across the region, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning. Help to ensure alignment with the organization’s broader financial goals and objectives.

• Handling of Other Special CFO Tasks

Take on ad-hoc CFO-related assignments, such as financial analysis, investment evaluations, and other strategic finance projects as needed.

• Reporting to the Japanese HQ

Provide regular financial reporting and updates to the Japanese headquarters. Ensure that all reports are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.

Management and Sustainability

Process Management

• Ensure that the Brewing process (i.e. from silo to BBT) is operating in an efficient manner according to the specifications and production plan in standard and non-standard conditions.
• Execute daily and weekly cleaning of brewing vessels to achieve performance in brewing and BIO free products.
• Collect process samples for analysis and monitor all products to ensure it’s within technical specification.
• Act on the daily production operations and to promptly discuss/report the production issues with the team members.
• Carry out daily production according to the approved weekly brewing schedule.
• Receive raw materials and ensure it is within technical specification.
• Relief other process Technician when required.

Total Productivity Management AND Continuous Improvement

• Ensure workplace is at the required AM and 5S standards and is actively involved in AM / 5S teams.
• Ensure that Brewing department is clean to the specified standard.

Quality of the Product & Process

• Ensure the Brewing process is operating according to the specifications and production plan, in standard conditions.
• Report in a timely and accurate way all mandatory and relevant information and KPIs.
• Conduct some regular quality in line tests.

Equipment Management

• Operate and executes tasks in compliance with the HEINEKEN and local regulations in his / her machines / area.
• Execute basic maintenance tasks according to standards and is actively involved in improvement activities.

Requirements:

• Communicate effectively with good command of written and spoken English.
• Proficient use of computer for reporting and data logging.
• 2 years of industrial experience is considered as a plus but entry level candidates are welcome.
• Experience and knowledge in brewing is considered as an asset.

Qualifications
