Job Summary: As the Art Director, you will report directly to the Creative Director and play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our projects. You will lead a team of motion graphic designers and graphic designers, guiding them to produce creative, high-quality design solutions across a variety of digital, video, and print mediums. Your leadership will drive the execution of design projects from concept through to final delivery, ensuring they meet expectations and align with our brand’s vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Leadership & Vision:

• Collaborate with the Creative Director to define and execute the visual direction of projects, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, marketing objectives, and client requirements.
• Lead the creative development of motion graphics, video content, print materials, and digital design assets, ensuring consistency across all visual outputs.
• Guide your team through brainstorming, ideation, and refinement processes, ensuring that every design is both on-brand and innovative.
• Stay current with motion design trends, especially those relevant to the F&B and lifestyle industries, and apply innovative techniques to enhance BYD by 1826’s brand appeal.

Team Leadership & Mentorship:

• Manage and mentor a team of motion graphic designers and graphic designers, offering constructive feedback, guidance, and inspiration to elevate the quality of their work.
• Oversee the daily workflow of your team, setting clear priorities, tracking project timelines, and ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, encouraging creative exploration while maintaining efficiency in execution.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

• Work closely with the Creative Director, project managers, copywriters, and other departments to ensure the seamless integration of design work into broader marketing and branding initiatives.
• Communicate design concepts clearly to both internal teams and clients, ensuring alignment and understanding at every stage of the project.
• Participate in client presentations and meetings, helping to translate creative concepts into visual solutions that meet client goals.

Quality Control & Design Execution:

• Review all design outputs created by your team, ensuring they meet high standards of quality, creativity, and technical execution.
• Lead the creation of mood boards, style guides, storyboards, and prototypes to visualize concepts and align stakeholders on the direction.
• Ensure all design deliverables are on-brand, on-strategy, and delivered on time.

Stay Current with Design Trends & Tools:

• Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in design, motion graphics, and multimedia production.
• Implement new technologies and techniques to push creative boundaries and elevate the team’s output.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design and motion graphics, with at least 2+ years in an art director or leadership role.
• A strong portfolio showcasing both static and motion design work, including animation, video, and interactive elements.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign) and proficiency with other design tools (Cinema 4D, Blender, etc.).
• Proven experience managing and leading a creative team, with a focus on mentoring and developing talent.
• Strong design sense, with a deep understanding of typography, composition, colour theory, and visual storytelling.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate creative ideas and solutions to clients and internal teams.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, balancing creativity with attention to detail and deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with 3D animation and motion design techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of UX/UI design and experience with web and app design is desirable.
• Familiarity with video production, editing, and post-production workflows.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and client-facing environment.

• Bring your expertise, focusing on a supply chain planning helping customers build and execute supply chain strategy around S&OP / IBP OR focusing on Sourcing & Procurement to help organization to Source and procure effectively and efficiently

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Deep knowledge in one, or more, of the specific areas of expertise: Supply chain operating model design: Demand / Supply / Production / Logistics Planning, IBP / S&OP, Source to Pay, category management, SRM, Procurement outsourcing
