Job Description
• Provision of support to senior members in the team needed to achieve ambitions / meet deadlines
• Preparation of data and model, and trend analyses to understand underlying portfolio performances
• Enhancement of data capabilities and processing efficiency, including data governance / quality across the APAC region
• Ongoing solution enhancement of IFRS17 rollout
• Active involvement with other Group systems developments and actuarial projects across the world
• Engagement with the local businesses and other Corporate Actuarial hubs to implement and maintain the reserving strategy from around the world
• Actuarial valuation for assigned Business Units/Countries, covering multiple lines of business, for management and / or financial reporting, when needed
• Estimation of technical profitability for assigned portfolios, as inputs into business planning and forecasting, when needed
Job Requirements
• Active pursuit of full actuarial qualifications in a recognized actuarial profession
• 0 to 2 years of non-life insurance reserving experience. Fresh graduates are welcomed
• A hands-on self-starter with a solution-oriented approach
• Great interpersonal and communication skills with the ability and agility to work in a global, multicultural, matrix organisation
• Team player but able to work independently
• Experience with software, such as ResQ, Excel (including VBA) and R/SAS, would be highly regarded
