The Managing Director, of APAC will be responsible for leading the execution of APAC’s business strategy for the assigned region. This senior leader will lead and motivate a regional team to deliver sustained, profitable growth.
This role will have responsibility for driving revenue growth and market development objectives. As a senior leader, this individual will also be responsible for making the Company strategy, mission, and vision come to life – identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to capture scale and drive efficiency throughout the organization. This leader supports cooperation and engagement across the Company’s business units to leverage the strength of the Company within the region.
This role will have oversight for and will execute through interaction with direct reports peers and functional teams. To support flawless execution of the business strategy, this individual will work closely and seamlessly with, regional and functional leaders.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION:
Ideal Experience
· Minimum 20 years’ professional experience including senior leadership positions with significant interaction in the executive suite
· 10 years’ experience in multinational companies in a management role desirable
· Extensive manufacturing, China and South East Asia experience.
· Strong understanding of Chinese and American business practices and culture
· Experience in a B2B setup manufacturing custom components is critical in this role.
· Demonstrated ability to profitably grow a business and drive enhanced profitability
· Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and margin targets
· Track record of success leading across matrixed organizations through both direct leadership and persuasion
· Undergraduate degree in business or relevant technical, material science or engineering field
· Post-graduate degree in business or finance (MBA a plus)
