Key Responsibilities

1. System Design and Development

· Design and implement solutions involving barcode scanners, RFID readers, and card-based access control systems.

· Develop integration plans for speedgates with these technologies to ensure seamless functionality.

· Create technical documentation, including schematics, workflows, and system architecture.

2. Installation and Configuration

· Configure and install barcode scanners, RFID readers, and access control card systems.

· Oversee the physical installation of speedgates and their associated components.

· Calibrate devices for optimal performance and accuracy.

· Ensure compliance with safety and security standards during installation.

3. Integration

· Integrate barcode, RFID, and card systems with speedgates and other access control systems.

· Implement software and firmware updates for all components.

· Develop APIs or use existing interfaces to connect devices with management software or enterprise systems.

4. Troubleshooting and Maintenance

· Perform diagnostics on malfunctioning devices or systems to identify and resolve issues.

· Conduct regular maintenance on barcode scanners, RFID readers, card systems, and speedgates.

· Monitor system performance and propose upgrades or replacements when needed.

· Respond to technical support queries and provide on-site or remote assistance.

5. Testing and Quality Assurance

· Conduct tests to validate the accuracy and reliability of barcode and RFID readings.

· Ensure the synchronization of all integrated systems, including speedgates.

· Perform stress testing to confirm the system's ability to handle high traffic and loads.

6. Project Management and Collaboration

· Collaborate with architects, developers, and security teams to deliver integrated solutions.

· Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables for related projects.

· Train end-users and provide documentation for system operation and troubleshooting.

7. Innovation and Research

· Stay updated on emerging technologies in barcodes, RFID, and access control systems.

You will work alongside our Accounts Executive in Singapore and the wider Finance team in our UK-based Global Headquarters, as well as our Office Administrator in Shanghai to provide financial support for the Shanghai office.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting with sales ledger tasks, such as producing, sending and monitoring invoices as well as contacting clients to ensure timely payments, where necessary
• Supporting with purchase ledger tasks, including approving and/or obtaining approval for all purchase invoices, recording and reconciling all petty cash and reviewing credit card expenses
• Managing and maintaining client contracts
• Advising our scientific teams on invoicing or purchase related queries
• Collaborating with the Shanghai Office Administrator to manage financial processes for the Shanghai office, including tasks such as reconciling local payments, tracking expenditures, and ensuring compliance with local requirements
• Ad-hoc tasks in support of the wider Finance and Operations teams, across both Singapore and Shanghai, as needed

The Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process starts with a telephone interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team, followed by an assessment for you to complete in your own time. If successful, you will be invited to an interview. Our standard recruitment process lasts around 1 month however, this can be adapted if necessary.

As an Engineer, Design, you will:

Responsible for product analyzing, design for manufacturing (DFM), tool design 3D and 2D drafting, tool review and debugging.
