RESPONSIBILITIES

The Associate (Programme) is a key member of the Active Ageing Centre (AAC) team, supporting the planning and delivery of programmes and initiatives that promote active ageing and enhance the well-being of seniors. Reporting to the Programme Executive/Centre Supervisor, the Associate will assist with day-to-day operations, outreach activities, and engagement with seniors to foster a vibrant and inclusive community.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Support:

• Assist in the execution of programmes and activities aligned with the five domains of the Active Ageing Programme (AAP): Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Social, and Vocational.
• Set up, manage, and facilitate daily activities, workshops, and events for seniors.
• Gather feedback from seniors on programme participation for review and improvement.

Community Outreach and Engagement:

• Conduct door-knocking and outreach activities to identify and connect with seniors in the community.
• Support efforts to engage isolated or vulnerable seniors and encourage their participation in AAC activities.
• Build rapport with seniors to foster trust and understanding of their needs.

Volunteer and Partner Engagement:

• Assist in coordinating volunteer involvement in activities and programmes.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for collaborations with community partners and stakeholders.

Administrative Support:

• Maintain accurate attendance records, programme schedules, and activity reports.
• Assist in preparing materials and logistics for programmes and events.
• Data entry and filing to ensure proper documentation for reporting purposes.

Centre Operations:

• Help ensure the smooth running of the AAC, including managing resources and setting up for daily activities.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for seniors and visitors.

• Minimum GCE 'O' Levels, 'A' Levels or Diploma in a relevant discipline (e.g., Social Work, Community Development, Psychology, or Gerontology).
• Prior experience in community engagement or working with seniors will be advantageous.

Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with seniors and volunteers.
• Enthusiastic, empathetic, and patient in interacting with diverse senior populations.
• Basic organisational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn other systems as needed.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ability to communicate in English and at least one local language/dialect to interact effectively with seniors.

- Handle full set of accounts and ensure timely closing

- Provide management reports monthly & yearly & Audit Schedule to Finance Manager

- Handle Costing Reports of all outlets monthly and other reports if requested

- Ensure inter-company transactions tally among multi-companies

- Prepare/Review quarterly GST submission

- Ensure all filing is done in a timely and accurate manner

- Making sure compliance with all legislative tax & financial reporting policies and requirements

- Perform any other duties as assigned by the management

- Liaise with external auditor

Requirements:

- Minimum Diploma in accountancy

- At least 4 years of handling full set account’s working experience, preferably F&B

- Software skills: Advanced MS Excel, word & Million software preferably

RESPONSIBILITIES

The person will be part of the Volunteer and Community Engagement team in Care Corner to lead and support our volunteer management, volunteer development and community engagement, specifically as part of the SG Cares Volunteer Centre @ Tampines, operated by Care Corner Singapore.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Volunteer Management and Development

• Work with team lead and the team to manage and develop volunteers in the town of Tampines and Simei, using our Volunteer Management Framework;
• Resource, Recruit, Retain, Review and sustain a growing community of regular and ad-hoc volunteers in the town of Tampines and Simei;
• Conduct training and workshops for staff and volunteer;
• Lead the onboarding, training and supervision of volunteers;
• Train and develop current and potential volunteer leaders and build a vibrant community of volunteers and a sustainable pool of volunteer leaders, using our Volunteer Leadership Framework;
• Be the liaison person between volunteers, volunteer groups and our service points or town partners;
• Work with Corporates to shape their CSR programmes and engage them as active volunteers in the community;
• Work with school leaders and students to ensure that schools' Values in Action programmes are meaningful and impactful for the community;
• Engage Religious Organisations to activate their volunteers for the community;
• Ensure data integrity and use the Volunteer and Partner Relationship Management System to provide regular and timely reports to management and funders.

Community Engagement

• Meet and engage with corporate and community partners in the town of Tampines and Simei to grow our network of community partners;
• Collaborate with service heads and community partners to identify volunteer opportunities that address community needs;
• Facilitate and broker partnerships among community partners to meet the needs of the community;
• Maintain and keep track of our community assets map;
• Ensure accurate and timely KPI tracking and reporting;
• Support Care Corner's East Region Care Community Network meetings and activities.

General

• Ability to function as an effective individual contributor and team player
• Strong stakeholders' management and people skills
• Be an effective conduit of information between all relevant working parties
• Independent, pro-active as a team player, able to work in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Should hold minimum a Degree in any disciplines with aleast 3 years' experience.
• Experience in managing volunteers in personal capacity as a volunteer or staff for corporates, charities or non-profit organizations.
• Should have experience in conceptualizing, planning and running a voluntary programme in the community or organization.
• Personal experience in volunteering a plus
• Strong stakeholders management is important
• Good communication skills
• Able to produce good presentation decks and manage spreadsheets, with good proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Some experience using Salesforce as a VMS/CRM is a plus
