Interview process

The successful candidate will participate in the below interview stages. 

It might seem like a lot - but fear not - we come prepared! We anticipate the process to last no more than 3 weeks from start to finish depending on your availability.

Whether the interviews are held over video call or in person will depend on your location and the role. 

 Introductory call

• A ~30 minute video call with a member of our HR team to discuss your application and get a better understanding of your experience and expectations for the role

Case study

• You’ll have a ~45-60 minute chat with the Hiring Manager, where he or she will give you some real-life challenges that this role faces, and will ask for your approach to solving them.

Career deep dive 

• A ~60 minute chat with the Hiring Manager
• We’ll discuss your last couple of roles to understand your experience in more detail
• In addition, we’ll be trying to gauge where your strengths lie

Behavioural fit assessment

• A ~60 minute chat, usually with a member of HR or the leadership team
• We’ll dive into some recent work situations to understand how you think and work

Reference interviews

• We’ll have 2-3 short phone or video calls with references that you provide to us
• So as to not delay your offer, we may ask your permission to have these calls earlier on in the interview process

Requirement for background screening

Please be aware that Sleek is a regulated entity and as such is required to perform different levels of background checks on staff depending on their role. 

This may include using external vendors to verify the below:

• Your education
• Any criminal history
• Any political exposure
• Any bankruptcy or adverse credit history

We will ask for your consent before conducting these checks.  Depending on your role at Sleek, an adverse result on one of these checks may prohibit you from passing probation.

1. Assist project manager with day to day on-site monitoring, project implementation and scheduling.

2. To schedule, co-ordinate, implement and manage projects- in part or wholly- to ensure timely work progress, goods or services delivery on schedule, while taking into account the budgeted qualities and cost.

3.Ensuring that work is carried out according to approved plans, regulations and contract specifications.

4. Accountable for the safety and quality of the project.

5.Conduct project progress meetings, as well as reviewing schedules.

6.Manage the project team’s training.

7.Liaising with consultants and sub-contractors.

8.Prepare method statement, proposal, test plan, acceptance plan and timeline schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager as the case may require.

9. Accountable for preparing weekly/ monthly progress reports.

10.Ability to read AUTOCAD / Schematic preferable.

11.Perform ad hoc duties as assign by superiors.

5.25 days work week, alternate Saturday.

8.30am to 6pm.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Degree in Project Management.
• Positive attitude, including being self-motivated, responsible, and taking ownership of work.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Possess class 3 driving license.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Preparation of tender documents and quantities
• Provision of cost estimates
• Evaluation of tender proposals
• Conduct project feasibility studies and manage cost information for all projects
• Assist on any contractual issues with client, subcontractor and consultants
• Overall project budget setting and monitoring
• Comparison and review of award of contacts and rates
• Review of procedure and policies including inclusion of clauses into subcontract agreement to be in line with latest regulations, practice that best protect the company's interest.
• Monitoring of project expenditure and preparation of cashflow projections/updates for budget control with and including advising on possible cost over-runs and alternative solutions
• Expand the pool of sub-con/suppliers contacts and sourcing
• Review and recommend of procedure and policies including inclusion of clauses into subcontract agreement to be in line with latest regulations, practice that best protect the company's interest.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree/ Diploma in Building/ Quantity Surveying
• 2-5 years’ relevant experience with contractor
• Meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, good team player, good at time management
