Kemin Nutrisurance(“KN”) is the petfood ingredients and rendering business unit of Kemin Industries, Inc.. KN Asia Pacific mainly operates in Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan and also has presence in other countries in Asia.
Job Responsibilities:
- Actively involved in strategic plan development and execution
- Work with marketing and regional leadership collaboratively to create, manage, and implement cross-organizational, integrated marketing strategies such as product launches and promotional product plans.
- Support Product Management teams in the development of market, competitive, and customer insights
- Conduct market research and analysis to determine market share and other relevant business environment indicators of current and future products; conduct market forecasting, marketing trends and implications; monitor competitive environment including competitor products and product reviews.
- Significant contributor to maximize Kemin’s marketing, communications, and/or public relations efforts and executing specific assignments within the strategic plan which help to drive market share and industry growth.
- Responsible for shaping communication strategy for the business.
- Manage internal and external materials and communications which increases marketing effectiveness and help build and create brand and/or product awareness
- Defining regional framework and execution plan of platform-wise business goals, market/customer segmentation, competitive analysis, market trends, and insight generation
- Regional pricing strategy recommendations
- Supporting global team in market intel analysis and researching regional and local market trends
- Exploring regional growth opportunities in coordination with the global team
- Adaptation and deployment of messaging and needful localizing as per guidelines
- Management of hiring and recruitment of regional HC and support in building regional team structure
- Regional customer engagement and communication (including regional channels)
- Regional team communication, feed for regional social media, good news, regional event messaging
- Regional PIP project management
- Commercial projection of regional product, support in blue sheet
- Regional portfolio management (product offerings, new product introductions, rationalization of products, training)
- Execution, measurement, and reporting of regional digital engagement such as leads, local campaigns, and search engine marketing
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor or doctorate in veterinary medicine, animal nutrition or related discipline with minimum of 10 years’ experience of marketing/product management in pet food industry
- Master of Business Administration will be an added advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively in a fast paced and multi-cultural team environment.
- An in-depth understanding of the pet food marketplace including pet food producers as well as ingredient suppliers to the industry
- Positive business relationship development in the pet food or an allied industry
- A good understanding of the chemical and biological sciences
