Fellowship in Vascular Surgery

The Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, National University Hospital is seeking candidates for our fellowship in Vascular Surgery under National University Heart Centre, Singapore. We are a 1,400 bed hospital with full range of vascular surgery services. There are 6 Consultant surgeons in the vascular division. We have an aortic center which offer full range of open, endovascular as well as hybrid surgery and both cardiac and vascular surgeons worked closely together. The vascular unit performs over 1,600 procedures in all aspect of vascular surgery. The fellowship will be at registrar/senior registrar level and you are expected to do on call at frequency of 1:4 Rota to 1:5.

We welcome international candidates who have previous vascular experience and looking for further opportunities to enhance their vascular and endovascular skills. As we are an academic unit of vascular surgery, fellows are expected to participate in research and teaching. Depending on candidates’ previous skills set, we offer basic, intermediate and advanced vascular fellowships. The maximum training duration is 24 months for candidates at junior registrar level and 12 months for advanced fellowship. The advanced fellowship is suitable for candidates who have completed their vascular training in their country.

Job Description:

• Team member in audit engagements, which include planning, executing risk based financial and operational audits and completing audit statutory financial audits.
• Obtain a thorough understanding of Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA) and common audit procedures and techniques.
• Develop a goodunderstanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and financial statements presentation and generally accepted accounting principles and others reporting requirements, where applicable.
• Research and analyse financial statements and audit related issues.
• Manage client's expectation and provide timely updates and or feasible solutions on their queries.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs such as MS Word, MS Excel and Office 365.
• Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude.

Requirements:

• Experience in full spectrum of Admin Duties

E-commerce Operations:

• Process and ship out daily orders accurately and on time.

• Provide good customer service through after-sales tips and answering enquiries on time.

• Closely monitor stock levels and highlight to the team if there is a need to restock items.

• Assist with purchasing new stocks and materials where necessary.

• Arrange production schedule and schedule part-time packers as required.

• Submit monthly Shopee and Lazada campaigns on time, to ensure we participate in mega and category campaigns such as 11.11, 25.11, home & living sale etc.

• Liaise closely with Shopee/Lazada account manager to resolves platforms issues as required.

• Keep track of competitor products, promotions and sales performance.

E-commerce Development:

• Research and propose ways to improve/grow our e-commerce business.

• Research new products to be offered on our store.

• Towing of construction vehicle

Requirements:

• Possessed Class 4 or 5 driving license
• Preferably with experience in towing service
• Applicants without experience will be consider, training will be provided
• Require to work upto 6 days a week
• Work shift hours (Day/ Night shift)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

CLINICAL

• To utilize appropriate assessment tools to evaluate patients’ performance components affecting their participation in self-care, work, and leisure activities.
• To formulate appropriate treatment plans and goals within the inpatient stay and to re-evaluate and modify the treatment plan as required.
• To work with multi-disciplinary teams in Ren Ci Hospital (RCH), which includes attending weekly case management meetings, participating in discharge planning in consultation with the patients, their families, and other external agencies involved.
• To maintain an accurate and timely patient record by documenting in patients’ medical case notes after attending to the patients.
• To instruct and supervise occupational therapists and/or Therapy Aides in occupational therapy interventions for patients.

PROFESSIONAL

• To practice Occupational Therapy in accordance to the Code of Professional Conduct defined by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
• To maintain absolute confidentiality in matters pertaining to the organization, department, and patients. Confidentiality of the patients’ records is to be always maintained for the privacy of the patients.
• To co-present in workshops and seminars.
• To supervise and appraise Occupational Therapists, and Therapy Aides.
• To supervise undergraduate occupational therapy students, foreign trained Occupational Therapists awaiting qualifying examinations and Occupational Therapists under provisional registration.
• To liaise with external services, statutory bodies and other Voluntary Welfare Organisations as appropriate.
• To supervise post-graduate Occupational Therapy students if any.
• To lead research projects, and to set clinical standards.
• To initiate and coordinate new therapy programs.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

• To update patients’ statistics daily.
• To participate actively in the implementation of organizational and departmental policies, to review policies and protocols when necessary.
• To take responsibility for the maintenance and replacement of occupational therapy equipment in the department.
• To carry out other tasks or projects assigned by the Head of Occupational Therapy services/ Head of Department.
• To plan and provide coverage when necessary.
• To take up leadership services such as Outpatient services in-charge, Therapy Aides in-charge, Nursing home rehab in-charge.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

• To know and implement the Health and Safety regulations in RCH. To always work safely and to participate actively in health and safety programs.
• To attend courses on CPR, Manual Handling and Fire Safety as required by the organization and professional bodies.
• To read and understand the contents of the Infection Control Manual.
• To take initiative and identify, report, and resolve issues that may cause harm/ injuries to people in the organization.
• To report all incidents or potential hazards to the reporting officer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (recognized by AHPC).
• Post-graduate qualification or certification in treatment techniques is an advantage.
• Registered with the Singapore AHPC with valid practicing certificate.
• Highly encouraged to be a member of the Singapore Association of Occupational Therapist (SAOT).
• At least 3 - 5 years of working experience in the relevant field.
• Experience in a geriatric community hospital, long term care or nursing home setting will be an advantage.
• Mature and good team player.
• Able to serve those patients and residents in need, regardless of race, nationality, religious or social status.
• Compassionate and able to relate well to patients and residents of RCH.
• Caring, understanding, patient and empathetic.
• Able to cooperate with all colleagues towards the total healthcare of the community.
• Able to motivate and develop staff.
• Able to coordinate daily operations within the department.
• Able to promote a collegial work environment and encourage effective teamwork.
• The Occupational Therapist post is a rotational post within the various settings in Ren Ci Hospital (RCH), namely Community Hospital (CH), Nursing Home (NH), and Senior Care Centre (SCC).
