Key Responsibilities:

The WSH Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive workplace safety and health management system in compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, regulations, and industry standards. The primary goal of the WSH Manager is to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors on-site by identifying potential risks, implementing preventive measures, and promoting safety awareness across the organization.

Requirements

Primary Objective

The Merchandising Administrator is responsible to support all business reporting for the Merchandising department in all areas of the department especially in the functions of merchandising & brand marketing.

The main focus for the role is on weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually & other ad hoc business, merchandizing and management reporting for the assigned regions. The role reports directly to the Merchandising Director with indirect reports to the Merchandising Managers.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Be aligned and act in accordance to SMRT's Vision, Mission, Service Standard and Core Values.

2. Ensure good understanding, knowledge and skills needed for all maintenance activities and provide support for staff training.

3. Lead and supervise a team of Technical Officer(s) to perform preventive, corrective, overhaul, troubleshooting, engineering analysis, investigation or any assigned maintenance activities on all rolling stocks, depot and workshop equipment.

4. Assist to plan and coordinate staff deployment and shift roster to optimise resources utilisation.

5. Verify and ensure all tasks executed by the team are in accordance to latest Work Instructions, Quality, Maintenance, Operational and Safety Procedures, and to ensure personal and peers’ safety at all times.

6. Ensure spares, tools and equipment used are in good condition and calibrated if necessary.

7. Perform train shunting activities and operate depot equipment, maintenance vehicles and maintenance equipment to support maintenance activities of the group.

8. Verify and ensure work records done by the team are updated factually, accurately and timely on Work Records Form and on the Maintenance Management System

9. Report immediately any abnormalities or practices observed that are not in accordance to Work Instructions, Quality, Maintenance, Operational and Safety Procedures.

10. Adopt KAIZEN methodology (5M, 5S & 5W) to eliminate 8 Wastes and improve Productivity and Value of work performed.

11. Provide support to staff, contractors or any other personnel who are required to perform work on depot and all rolling stocks.

12. To support the group during incidents, accidents and emergencies.

13. Ensure excellent housekeeping are maintained within all work areas.

14. Maintain a high level of work discipline and standards.

15. Perform any other task as assigned.

Marine:

• Assist in coordinating and arranging Oil Major Vetting Inspections and ensure timely follow-up as directed.
• Conduct Marine Inspections and pre-vetting inspections or provide vetting assistance as needed, recording and filing all deficiencies noted during vessel attendance in the common drive.
• Perform annual onboard navigation audits, ideally during short voyages. Enter audit results into the navigation audits database and ensure all deficiencies and defects are addressed.
• Help investigate and analyze the root causes of accidents.
• Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
• Facilitate external safety audits and onboard training by coordinating with the designated audit or training company.
• Oversee cosmetic upgrades (Painting).
• Monitor and support all vessels (in coordination with OPS) regarding operational issues (Loading, discharging, tank cleaning, grade change).

Quality and Compliance:

• Aid in implementing the Ship Management’s Health, Safety, Security, Quality, and Environmental Policies, including sailing onboard for short voyages to ensure the HSSEQ System is implemented on new vessels.
• Participate in the periodic management review of the HSSEQ system, document findings, and suggest necessary actions.
• Assist in maintaining and updating the HSSEQ Management System.
• Be a part of the internal Marine & HSSEQ audit team.
• Help establish annual ISM & ISPS audit plans, coordinate and conduct internal audits, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist in investigating and analyzing the root causes of accidents, marine casualties, and near misses.
• Contribute to the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of office and vessel contingency plans.
• Communicate with vessels on safety, navigation, operations, health, quality, security, and environmental matters, including responding monthly to Vessel Safety Reports and Near Miss Reports.
• Review all safety-related reports from vessels and similar reports from other sources.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of sea experience.
• Minimum 3 years of sailing experience as Chief Officer on Chemical Tankers (preferably on parcel tankers).
• Relevant maritime certifications such as Chief Officer’s certificate or Master’s license (an added advantage).
• Experience with Ship Vetting by majors, Ship, and Terminal Operations.
• Knowledge of maritime regulations.
• Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and willingness to travel.

Job Description

You shall be responsible for various aspects of audit functions including audit planning, systems review, performing audit field work, preparing the statutory consolidated group accounts and cashflow statements.
