This advertisement is recruiting for the position of Kitchen Helper.

If successfully selected, you will be seconded to MOE secondary school located in Dunman Lane.

Contract Period: from 1 Mar 2025 to 31 Dec 2025

Option to Extend: for a further period of 12 months

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 11:30am, exclusive of ½ hr lunch break.
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Services of personnel are not required during Jane, November and December holidays except for the last week of December.

The services required are set out as follows:

• Preparation of food ingredients for cooking lessons.
• Take in the day’s food orders delivered. Put food orders on trays for the respective teachers. Clear unwanted packaging or boxes by the same day.
• Teachers will brief the kitchen helper on the week’s practical lessons and give recipe and sample of layout so that the kitchen helper can start preparations for the morning classes.
• Fill up the soaps, check the cutlery and equipment are in place for each unit.
• Assist teachers during lessons such as replenish items, and assist students with cookers, ovens, grill, blenders, steamers, mop spills, etc.
• After lessons, the kitchen helper is to help clean up and stock check food items for the kitchen and carry forward leftovers. Prepare for late morning’s lessons where needed.
• After lessons, check all cookers are switched off, sinks are clean, cookers are clean and rubbish is disposed of by the same day. Clear the centre store table by the same day.
• Check In-tray for additional instructions for the day and put in Out-tay when completed.
• Fax food order(if any) before 2pm of each day and call the Authority’s appointed food supplier to confirm receipt of order. Leave the faxed order forms in the teacher's tray in the office.

The personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• At least 1 years of experience working in a kitchen environment.
• Shall have Basic Food Hygiene or Food Handling Course Certificate.

Requirements:

• Master or Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum 4-5 years of power supply related experiences and at least 5 years of experience in leading project teams.
• Experience in power supply/microgrid application/energy storage projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems, Switch Mode Power Supply, AC/DC converters and power factor correction.
• Product Reliability and Testing: Knowledge of the importance of conducting reliability and performance tests to ensure product success.
