a) Evaluate current architecture and technology stack for the Authority’s
systems, which includes system design and recommend architectural
solutions to align with business goals, technical requirements and government policies
b) Manage technology refresh and End-of-Service (EOS) product
replacements, including planning, product exploration, recommendations
and. implementations. The scope of technology management includes
developing and maintaining technology roadmaps, as well as overseeing,
providing guidance and supporting Authority’s appointed contractors
throughout the delivery, setup, testing, and deployment phases;
c) Define technical standards, best practices, and guidelines for software
development;
d) Conduct product and technology evaluation,
including making recommendations;
e) Review existing architecture documentations to ensure all documentations
are kept up to date. If required, to develop and maintain system architecture
documentations;
f) Conduct knowledge sharing and training when necessary;
g) Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse project and
architectural requirements;
h) Monitor system performance and scalability, making recommendations for
improvements on a need-be basis; and
i) Architecting and solutioning for new systems, including designing high
level system architecture and developing solution and recommending
implementation approaches, ensuring alignment with the Authority’s
objectives and Enterprise Architect (EA).
a) Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information
Technology or equivalent would be preferred;
b) Relevant recognition and/or certification of his/her competency as an
Architect;
c) Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns;
d) Track record of design and implementing large scale systems;
e) Experience with on-premises, cloud or hybrid architectures;
f) Experience and skills in the following would be advantageous:
i. Setup and implementation or technology refresh for system
infrastructure such as server, network, storage, middleware, monitoring
tools, etc.;
ii. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity implementation, backup &
recovery processes and high availability architectures; and
iii. Cloud infrastructure and technology.
g) Knowledge on IT Governance frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT.
