To manage the day-to-day operations of vessels, ensuring that they comply with industry regulations and organizational procedures. They are responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
Monitoring and updating vessel movements, managing post-fixture activities, and maintaining a database of vessel positions
Preparing charter parties and related documentation and managing day-to-day chartering tasks, resolving any disputes with owners and charterers and other related parties
Planning cargo intake, liaising with Charterers / Owners and regulatory bodies, and responding to any issues
Acting as the primary point of contact between the shipmaster and other parties, and keeping customers updated
Maintaining report and data on fixed fixtures, assisting with the preparation of operational and annual reports, laytime and off-hire statements, and other documentation
Managing P&L, calculating interim port and demurrage, and purchasing bunkers
Identifying bottlenecks and proposing improvements to workflow
To ensure vessel documents are up to date
Requirement:
• More than 3 years’ experience as Post Fixture Operator / Vessel Operator / Ship Chartering
• Bachelors' degree in Maritime Studies, International Shipping, or relevant majors.
• Proficient in both English and Mandarin are preferred
• Familiarity with IMOS, weather forecast software such as AWT/WNI
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and is a team player
