About the Company: We are a dynamic hedge fund specialising in Japan
investments, focusing on generating strong risk-adjusted returns. We seek a detail-
oriented Execution Trader to join our team, where you will play a critical role in
delivering best execution for the fund’s trading strategies.
Role Overview: The Execution Trader will work closely with the Senior Execution
Trader and CIO, managing trade execution and providing real-time market insights.
In this role, you’ll engage with multiple internal departments, including operations,
compliance, and risk, to ensure smooth, accurate trade processing and adherence to
regulatory standards. This is a dynamic role requiring experience in trade execution
and market monitoring, alongside a proactive approach to collaboration and
efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Trade Execution: Support the CIO and Senior Execution Trader in executing trades
in Japanese equities, focusing on delivering best execution while managing market
impact and achieving competitive pricing.
Market Monitoring: Actively monitor the Japanese equities market, tracking key
trends, liquidity conditions, and trading opportunities to support decision-making and
execution strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with internal departments—including operations,
compliance, and risk to address any trading-related needs and ensure accurate post-
trade processing and regulatory compliance.
Pre- and Post-Trade Analysis: Assist in evaluating trade execution quality, reviewing
costs, and assessing market conditions to continuously enhance execution
strategies.
Reporting and Documentation: Support the team in preparing trading-related reports
and documentation, ensuring transparency and accountability in all trading activities.
Qualifications:
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in trade execution or a similar trading role,
preferably within Japanese equities or a hedge fund environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data
management and reporting; experience with trading platforms is a plus.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English (verbal and written), Japanese is a plus but
not required.
Market Knowledge: Familiarity with Japanese market dynamics, equity trading
practices, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to accuracy and compliance in trade
execution, with an analytical approach to monitoring and improving trading
processes.
Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior traders, fund
managers, and cross-functional teams.
