• Communicating with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
• Facilitate the hazard identification and risk management sessions for the preparations of the Safety Submissions.
• Update and maintains Hazard register according to LTA requirements.
• Attend the Engineer’s Project Safety Committee Meetings and any other risk management meetings as directed.
• Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
• Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.

Skills and Requirements

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University
• Experience: Prior experience in Singapore MRT / Civil projects is a must.
• Minimally 10 years of working experience in the design and the supervision of the construction of structures
• Attended the Design for Safety Professional Course and passed the assessment

Job Description:

This is a full time role for a Senior Service Engineer (Ship Cranes) located in Jurong East. Our company is an international crane & deck machinery repair specialist and offers crane and deck machinery related repair services and parts supply to the Merchant Marine- and Offshore industry and you will be responsible for field service tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing deck cranes, grabs, windlasses, hatch cover hydraulics, and davits.

Qualifications:

• Min 5 years' experience sailing as Electrical Officer on bulkers equipped with deck cranes and has carried out troubleshooting and repairing Marine Cranes, Windlasses & other hydraulic systems on board,
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of PLC controlled electro-hydraulic cranes & hydraulic machinery.
• Able to read and comprehend electric and hydraulic diagrams.
• Able to independently troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and mechanical problems.
• Able to supervise a team of mechanics and carry out large repair projects as Lead Engineer on board, on voyage and in Ship Yards.
• Able to write technical reports and able to communicate with owners' representatives.
• Previous employment as service engineer with one of the leading deck crane manufacturers will be an added advantage.
• Experience with variable frequency drives (VFD) will be an added advantage

• Work closely with the Business Lead and Sales Team, Engage customers in discussions to understand their needs and propose solutions leading to successful implementation.
• Prepare technical solution proposals for digitalisation projects.
• Design and develop software systems and applications that meet the needs of customers
• Analyse and test software systems and applications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Document technical specifications and design plans
• Recommend modifications or upgrades to existing software systems and applications to improve performance

Requirements

• Experience in technology / software sales or pre-sales consulting
• Experience in infrastructure architecture (on-prem/cloud), database architecture and networking
• Experience in as a Solution Architect, with a strong portfolio of software systems and applications designed.
• Proficiency in software development languages such as Java, Python, C++, or others
• Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies (e.g. Agile, SCRUM)
