Contract Period: mid-April 2025 for 24 months with option to extend it for another 24 months.
Working hours:
· Tuesdays to Sundays, 8.15 am to 6.15 pm (10 hours), inclusive of one hour break
· Mondays: Off except when a gazette public holiday falls on a Monday.
Scope of Services:
· Open and close up the gallery;
· Attend to visitors’ requests, feedback, phone calls and emails;
· Manage visitors’ registration, set-up, operations and tear down for events and/or activities;
· Make daily rounds at regular intervals to ensure that exhibits are functioning and check for defects in the gallery;
· Prepare and submit daily reports which include visitor ship, checks on gallery, status of defects in the gallery, etc;
· Stock take and replenish collaterals and premiums;
· Pack SMG premiums for visits and/or events;
· Manage simple troubleshooting for the gallery’s exhibits and infrastructure
· Liaise with other vendors and contractors to ensure that above daily duties are carried out properly;
· Attend the fire safety briefings, fire drills and handle incidents such as accidents with injury or illness, any acts of disturbance or violence and acts of mischief or vandalism in the gallery;
· Manage and schedule SMG volunteers;
· Perform non-cash transactions for sales of merchandise, monitor stock levels, and conduct inventory counts; and
· Any other tasks pertaining to SMG as assigned
· Guided tours for SMG will not be handled by service staff but by trained guides separately engaged by the Authority. However, service staff are expected to engage visitors in the gallery on their experience. or if they have queries, when they do their daily rounds and hence, is expected to have basic knowledge of the SMG content and be familiar with the SMG layout.
Qualification, Experience & Skills:
· Good communication, adaptive reasoning and interpersonal skills;
· Meticulous, independent and service oriented;
· Proficient in Microsoft Office;
· Relevant customer service experience;
· Presentably attired in office wear.
· Basic knowledge of the exhibit content and be familiar with the gallery layout.
· Be familiar with MPA’s bizSAFE documents such as Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, fire escape routes and fire emergency procedures
