Responsibilities
· To supervise the execution of the works and maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the specifications, drawings, all other documents, site instructions.
· To assist in all aspects relating to the construction, keeping and reviewing the record of works progress, materials, equipment at site, variation works, tests reports, inspections, provisional quantities, dayworks, etc,
· To check shop drawings, samples, etc submitted by contractors.
· To provide full support and assistance in ensuring that their instructions are communicated effectively, and works are being carried out in accordance with instructions from time to time.
· To assist in the review of proposed method statement and working procedure and to verify that they are properly executed on site.
· To assist to verify the works done and variations in their request for progress payments. To verify all reports and check all drawings and specifications
· To ensure that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner and inspect completed works and report on defects.
· To monitor progress of rectification works and ensure all defects area satisfactory rectified.
· To inspect and assist with handing/taking over of completed works.
· To prepare daily reports, and any presentation slides
Requirements
· Experience in M&E works such as pumping stations, lock gates, sluices, street-lightings, electrical cabling works.
· Experience in irrigation system, landscape and hardscape is preferred.
· Excellent skill in MS Words, MS Excel, and Power-point for preparing of daily reports, presentation slides for projects updates, maintain proper record for claims and etc.
· 5 years of experience in M&E projects
· Diploma in Mechanical/Electronic & Electrical Engineering for supervision of M&E projects.
· Must be registered as Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with IES/ACES for the respective discipline.
