Job Purpose
The Property Officer's focus is on ensuring the smooth operation of the property, improving resident satisfaction, and maintaining property value. These responsibilities are crucial for the efficient management and operation of the properties under the MCST, contributing to a positive living or working environment for all residents and owners.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintenance and Upkeep: Ensuring regular maintenance and repair of communal facilities.
· Financial Management: Assisting in budget preparation, managing expenditures, and overseeing service charge collections.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the property complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental laws.
· Communication and Coordination: Acting as a liaison between the Management Corporation, residents, and other stakeholders.
· Contract Management: Negotiating and managing contracts with various service providers.
· Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of all management activities, including financial transactions and maintenance logs.
· Emergency Response: Coordinating with emergency services and implementing procedures during emergencies.
Ad hoc duties may be required on an as-needed basis.
Required Qualifications
· Education: Diploma/WSQ Diploma in real estate management, business administration, or a related field.
· Certification: Relevant certifications from institutions like SISV, BCA, or equivalent.
· Experience: Experience in property management, particularly in strata-living contexts.
· Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with regulations governing MCSTs, e.g. BMSMA.
· Computer Literacy: Competence in property management software and office applications.
