Role Overview

As an overnight Pet Hotel Nightwatch Guardian, you will play a critical role in providing round-the-clock care and supervision for dogs staying at our pet hotel. Your responsibilities will ensure that all canine guests are safe, comfortable, and well-cared for throughout the night. This position requires a dedicated individual with a deep love for animals and a commitment to delivering exceptional pet care.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the health and comfort of dogs overnight, addressing any issues that may arise and ensuring a safe sleeping environment.
• Perform regular checks throughout the facility at scheduled intervals to ensure all dogs are secure and content.
• Respond promptly to any emergencies or unusual behaviors, providing immediate care or contacting veterinary services if needed.
• Administer nighttime feeding routines, including meals and medications if required.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, ensuring that sleeping areas and common spaces are clean and odor-free.
• Document and report on the overnight activities, behaviors observed, and any incidents that occur, maintaining accurate records for each dog.
• Provide calm and comforting presence to dogs who may be anxious or unfamiliar with the boarding environment, using soothing techniques to help them relax.
• Assist with the preparation of dogs for check-out, ensuring they are groomed, fed, and ready to meet their owners in the morning.
• Communicate effectively with daytime staff about any issues or observations that require ongoing attention.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in animal care or a similar field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of canine behavior and body language, particularly stress signals and comfort techniques.
• Excellent observation skills to detect any signs of distress or illness in dogs.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions during nighttime hours.
• Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently.

• Oversee and manage construction activities related to Dwall construction, deep excavation, C&C tunnels, drainage systems, pavement construction, taxiways, and runways.

Job Description & Requirements

• Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Workplace Safety & Health and Environment Management Systems at work sites.
• Conduct regular WSH inspections and follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance
• Ensure all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
• Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting
• Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipments and operations
• Ensure all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
• Coordinate the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
• Inspect project sites to ensure safety measure are being carried out at all times

Requirements:

• Possess relevant safety certificates (Eg Advanced Certificate in WSH, Safety Officer's Course or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in Building Construction
• Familiar with ISO45001, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001

Job Description:

• Ensure at all times that fire safety requirements contained in the Emergency Response Plan are complied with;
• Supervise the maintenance of all fire safety works in the premises;
• Ensure at all times that the occupant load of any part of any building does not exceed the capacity prescribed under the Fire Code;
• Conduct daily checks within the premises and remove or cause to be removed any fire hazard that is found within the premises;
• Prepare and execute the Emergency Response Plan for the premises and distribute the Emergency Response Plan to the occupants of the premises; (ii) conduct fire drills for the occupants of the premises at least twice in every calendar year or on such occasion as may be directed by the Commissioner;
• Ensure that all occupants are familiar with the means of escape located within the premises;
• Prepare fire safety guidebooks for the occupants of the premises; train, co-ordinate and supervise the Company Emergency Response Team for the premises in first-aid, fire-fighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies;
• Train the occupants in the premises in first aid, firefighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies;
• Co-ordinate and supervise the occupants within the premises in firefighting and in evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies;
• Conduct at least 2 Table-Top Exercises within the premises each year and to evaluate, together with the Fire Safety Committee, the effectiveness of the Arson Prevention Plan and the Emergency Response Plan for those premises;
• Prepare and implement the Arson Prevention Plan for the premises;
• Organise campaigns, training courses, competitions, contests and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the occupants within the premises in establishing a fire safe environment;

Requirement:

• Must have valid Fire Safety Manager certification
• Preferably with 2 to 3 years' experience as a Fire Safety Manager or related experience in a similar capacity
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
