Liaising and planning exhibits with clients

Many exhibit designer jobs involve working directly with clients to make their vision a reality. The designer works directly with internal marketing or sales teams to identify their needs and understand their requirements to achieve their goals.

Working with a design team to brief and create concepts

Creating sketches and models for design

Creating initial sketches and more polished 3D models and 2D designs

Produce technical drawings for construction and development

Produce specifications for their design and technical drawings before going on-site for the final build.

Working alongside a wider creative or marketing team

Sourcing and working with suppliers and specialists

Supervising construction and installing on-site

On-site providing guidance and ensuring standards during construction and installation

Providing adjustments and reworks as and when required

New drawings and concepts may reuse or recycle existing structures or design elements.

Responsibilities

• Support quality engineer in handling defective found during the production
• Determine & confirm on the material rejection
• Define the defective material flow
• Work back with supplier to determine on the root causes or FA report
• Monitor and keep track of all material rejection from production
• To participate on the Kaizen activities
• Participate in the ISO activities

Key Responsibilities

• To meet with prospective clients, present the organization’s credentials, and take detailed briefs
• Working with Existing and sourcing new Clients to understand their ongoing requirements and up sell accordingly.
• Coordinating with the relevant departments for design and costing
• Agreeing timescales and budgets with clients
• Monitoring and chasing work progress
• Analyzing, interpreting, and presenting results when necessary
• Delivering ideas and final products/services to clients for review
• Managing a portfolio of accounts
• Using an existing network of exhibition industry contacts to generate new business leads
• Achieving and exceeding sales quarterly targets
• To ensure you have a healthy sales pipeline with a minimum of 20 pending clients throughout
• Filling in weekly activity reports within a timeframe suitable to management
• Completion of all internal paperwork to ensure the smooth running of office systems.
• To source new clients through telemarketing, show marketing, networking, and referrals

Technical
