The tasks that await you
You will play a key part in securing profitable shipping contracts while navigating the fluctuating market landscape. Your ability to optimise vessel utilisation, adapt to market dynamics, and cultivate lasting relationships with clients, brokers, and stakeholders will be at the heart of your work.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, ensuring a balance between strategic growth and operational excellence.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Building good relationships with customers, brokers, owners, and internal stakeholders.
- Maximising earnings on your assigned tonnage.
- Creating value through short-term contracts, cargo handling, and vessel operations.
- Engaging in market research and analysis to formulate and share market insights.
- Working closely with Operations to optimise voyages and deliver exceptional client service.
- Strategically positioning and coordinating our fleet in collaboration with the team.
- Formulating new trade strategies to expand globally.

Your competences and core qualifications

In addition, you bring:
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in Dry Cargo Chartering.
- Significant experience relating to:Far East Markets.
Trading and optimising earnings on tonnage and cargoes.
Cultivating key customer relationships.
A basic understanding of hedging and FFAs.
