As Automative Vehicle Mechanic

• Ensure that the assigned vendor performs daily maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and follows strictly to the maintenance regime as prescribed in both company's Operations Manual as well as company's Maintenance Manual
• Regularly check and approve the maintenance record performed by vendor and highlight any shortcomings and apply appropriate measures to align expectations on full compliance.
• Provide support and monitor operational expenditure at the airport for cost optimization especially on maintenance cost and explore opportunities on continuous improvements together with the HSSE and Maintenance Supervisor as well as the Airport Operations Manager
• Maintain all communication, management of change with regards to Maintenance to vendor. This includes providing support to the Maintenance and HSSE Supervisors in maintaining an active register on all technical bulletins and ensure that the changes are implemented and documented.
• Maintains an active asset register of JAS vehicles and refuelling module
• Ensure all maintenance tasks and Quality test and checks are documented in accordance with Company’s requirement, by maintaining individual asset records.
• Assist and help to provide evidence through records and documentation in any audits ( IATA , IFQP , Airline , Company Audits )
• Provide active register and help to initiate Annual license renewal for both Airport and relevant insurance to the Airport Operations Manager and HSSE and Maintenance Supervisor
• Share the safety information, technical bulletins with staff on a regular basis and regularly monitor HSSE performance of Vendor
• Assist the Airport Manager/ Country Ops Manager in reviewing equipment specifications to ensure fit for purpose equipment is procured.
• Provide support to the Maintenance and HSSE Supervisor and the Airport Operations Manager in the day to day maintenance of JAS fleet to meet operational needs and other assigned tasks specific to Maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy vehicles such as trucks, buses, and superstructure equipment
• Perform scheduled service and maintenance activities including inspections, flush and filling of engine, brake, clutch oil etc, oil filter/seal replacement, brake pads replacement, tyres replacement/rotation and component replacements
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs and maintenance activities

Requirements

• Minimum Higher Nitec in Mechanical, automotive technology or equivalent. Must have a minimum of 3-4 years of heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Experience in fleet planning and procurement of vehicle parts
• Qualified First Aider *** (Training will be provided )
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem solving skills and critical thinking skills
