Our client is a well-established construction, property development and specialist engineering solutions provider. Currently, they are currently seeking for Project BIM Coordinator (Architecture/ C&S) to be part of the team.
The Project BIM Coordinator (PBC) is responsible in managing and coordinating BIM activities across project stages, ensuring design accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration. With experience in design engineering, construction, or integrated digital delivery (IDD), and advanced proficiency in BIM software, the PBC ensures models are accurate, accessible, and aligned with the project requirements.
JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)
· Oversee and support the creation and development of BIM models specific to Architecture or Civil & Structural (C&S) disciplines, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications.
· Coordinate BIM models between architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) teams, facilitating effective collaboration and integration
· Utilize BIM software such as Navisworks Manage or Solibri Office to identify and resolve clashes, minimizing conflicts during construction.
· Ensure that the BIM models meet quality standards, checking for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications.
· Identify and resolve any issues related to model data, quality, or design clashes in collaboration with the BIM team and project stakeholders.
· Implement and adhere to the BIM Execution Plan, ensuring that all processes, protocols, and milestones align with the project goals and digital delivery objectives.
· Regularly review models with project teams, using tools like Navisworks, Solibri, or VRCollab to communicate design updates, changes, and coordination requirements.
· Facilitate or participate in model coordination meetings with architectural, structural, and MEP teams, addressing technical issues and updating models as required.
· Maintain accurate documentation of model progress, updates, and changes, ensuring consistency with the project’s BIM execution and standards.
· Prepare periodic reports summarizing model progress, issues encountered, and resolutions, providing insight to project managers and stakeholders.
· Ensure that as-built information is properly incorporated into the model, coordinating with contractors to capture any deviations from design.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
· Certified with Specialist Diploma in Building Information Modelling (BIM) by BCA Academy and any BIM authoring software’s modelling course by the software vendor’s authorized training provider. Candidate certified with Digital Delivery Lead (DDM Tier 2) will also be considered.
· Minimum 6 years of working experience in design engineering, construction engineering or integrated digital (IDD) project management
· Minimum 5 years of BIM experience as a Project Level BIM Coordinator role in large scale or infrastructure project
· Completed at least one full cycle at design phased or construction phase.
· Candidate is preferable to be conversant in one (1) of the BIM software such as Solibri Office, Navigator, Navisworks Manage, VRCollab, etc.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively within a project team.
