Scope of work
You will lead the work on some of the most popular consumer brands in the world, impacting the daily lives of nearly 2 billion people in the fastest-growing region in the world. You will work for clients who not only care about success in the marketplace but are passionate about the role of brands in helping bring about social change. Working as a team with the Account and Creative leads, you’ll combine forces to lead the client in pursuit of their ambitions. This will involve solving a number of problems for the client with the freedom to recommend the best possible solution, whether you draw from the traditional world of branding and interruptive advertising or more contemporary permission-driven practices, like content or entertainment.
Expectations of a Planning Director
The Planning Director is responsible for the strategy of a brand. They are held accountable for the overall thinking of the business and the effectiveness of the work. Beyond the core skills of interrogation, distillation, and inspiration, they must also be accountable for fostering strong high-level relationships with clients and for being the entrepreneurial engine for the brand.
In your role, you will be expected to:
- Create successful work across a range of brands and categories for the agency.
- Integrates (and communicates to the client) knowledge with respect to media, creative, and messaging effectiveness from one campaign to the next.
- Partners with creatives to the concept, explore, and push the creation of good work.
- Builds and maintains senior client relationships.
- Directs the development of client presentations and other important communication.
- Demonstrates thought leadership and innovation for enhanced media plans and results.
- Generating original ideas with other members of the team.
- Presenting findings to senior staff members and clients.
- Liaising with senior members of staff to receive feedback and create improvements to strategies.
- Maintains a sense of discretion and professionalism, representing the Groupe.

Qualifications
- Required 10+ years account/digital/ production experience in a creative advertising agency.
- The ability to make complex subjects understandable.
- Be creative and able to think around problems.
- Have a good memory for facts and figures.
- Strong grasp of social media space and online media jargon and technology.
- Set goals and KPIs for each team member, and works with them to achieve these.
- Good knowledge of the media and how strategic planning influences it.
- The flexibility to work over a number of projects and balance your workload.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Ability to effectively and appropriately interact with co-workers at a variety of levels, across many disciplines.
- Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills required.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
- After-hours work and overnight traveling to shoots and post sessions required.
- They must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Naturally well organized and unfazed when working towards deadlines.
