The Orchestra Librarian / Assistant Orchestra Librarian works in the Orchestra Library and is responsible for the procurement, preparation, and upkeep of music materials – printed sheet music in both hard copies and digital files – required by the various musical groups of the Singapore Symphony Group (SSG). The position holder will also be required to maintain the database of all musical works that have been, or will be, performed by SSG, and to provide and update pertinent information on these works.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Procure music materials required for performances by purchase, hire or loan. This includes confirming with Artistic Director and/or Conductor the correct editions to be used.
• Prepare music materials by proofreading, editing, and marking scores and parts. This includes working with Conductors and Musicians to prepare materials according to specified requirements.
