・Propose and write news that readers need. Provide Japanese articles to Nikkei Group's information terminal services that distribute market trends, and the Nikkei Electronic Edition, etc.
・Cover markets are Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam) and India. Observe market trends such as the stock market in detail and report them quickly.
・Write articles that do not just introduce the news, but also add unique value through analysis, etc. Interview market participants, entrepreneurs, and policy makers in Singapore and convey their opinions and activities to Japan.
・Communicate with Tokyo everyday for interviews, writing, and planning meetings.
・Cover overseas opinions on Japanese market trends.
・Also manage the branch office, including expense management and HR.
▶Qualifications
・A relevant Bachelor’s Degree
・Business level English. Must be able to communicate with interviewees in English for interviews and understanding of interview content.
・Native level Japanese. Must be able to write professional reports that can be distributed as paid media articles. Can communicate with staff in Tokyo. JLPT N1 is a minimum requirement.
・Familiar with market trends. Having experience in writing about market stories for more than 10 years (e.g., overview of financial market, analysis of individual company’s fiscal condition and interview with market strategists and analysts) Knowledge of Japanese markets and finances, such as Japanese stocks and the Bank of Japan, is also required.
・Experienced financial journalist. Must have 10 or more years of experience in market operations and experience writing for Japanese economic media.
