Job Description:

This is a full time role for a Forklift Driver located in Jurong, Our clients is a logistics company. You will be responsible for this role including operating forklifts to safely handle the loading, unloading, and transportation of materials within the facility. The candidate will ensure proper organization of inventory by stacking, storing, and retrieving goods in designated areas while maintaining accurate records of inventory movements. Regular inventory counts will be conducted to maintain stock accuracy. Effective communication with team members, supervisors, and logistics staff is essential for coordinating material movements. Additionally, the role may involve assisting with general warehouse tasks such as packing, labeling, or housekeeping.

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience as a forklift operator
• Valid forklift operator certification/license required.

Main tasks/activities / responsibilities

• Provide technical orders for issues encountered at the yard/ waterfront.
• Establish and maintain vessel operation and maintenance, a
• Approve inventory on order parts and supplies.
• Monitor and maintain the vessel’s Fuelling, electrical, and machinery equipment.
• Conduct routine checks of fuel pumps, fire extinguishers, and safety equipment.
• Enforce and adhere to safety regulations and policies.
• Daily checks on all vessels on the readiness for deployment
• Shifting of boats within the yard when necessary.
• Inspection of deck and engine log books.
• Ensuring the vessel’s crew maintains daily engine and auxiliary checklists and records.
• Recording of Bunker records.

Job requirements

1. Steersman License or higher

2. ⁠medically fit

3. ⁠knowledge on Cummins, Volvo penta, Mitsubishi marine engines.

4. ⁠ZF gearbox knowledge and various gensets.

5. ⁠Eletrical knowledge a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise closely with customers and operations team on order fulfillment, inventory & shipment related activities
• Working closely with operations team to provide information/ feedbacks to customers on operational issues and co-ordinate with customers to resolve all issues
• Generate KPIs and transactional reports to internal and external customers on a timely basis
• Verify vendor invoices and liaise with vendor for any discrepancies
• Monitor the usage of warehouse supplies and raise POs for replenishment
• Coordinate the urgent order fulfillment with customer, operations and transporter
• Ensure the accuracy and timely update of system transactions
• Perform other required duties or task when assigned
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Support daily operations tasks if needed
• Any other duties as assigned by manager from time to time

We are looking for

• Diploma/Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Logistics/Transportation or equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in the logistics industry preferred
• Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) & Warehouse Management System (WMS) / Exceed System
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Must be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, and pressured environment
