Competence Requirements

• Preferred NTC 2 / Diploma in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of working in related industry, and having 2 – 3 years of supervisory experience and preferably with working knowledge in machining processes.
• PC literate
• Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and is an effective team player who is also self driven with a strong achievement orientation.

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Drafter cum Quantity Surveyor (Plumbing & Sanitary) to join our team. This individual will be responsible for preparing detailed plumbing and sanitary system designs and drafts while managing project quantities, cost estimates, and budget monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical drafting, with a specific focus on plumbing and sanitary systems, along with strong skills in quantity surveying.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed mechanical plumbing and sanitary system drawings using CAD software.
• Develop and review detailed plumbing and sanitary system layouts and specifications.
• Perform quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and budgeting for plumbing and sanitary works.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and associated costs for plumbing projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure designs align with project requirements.
• Assist in reviewing contracts and tender submissions for plumbing and sanitary systems.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and company standards.
• Monitor and track project progress, adjusting designs or estimates as needed.
• Provide support during the construction phase, including site visits and addressing technical queries.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Proven experience (1 years) as a Mechanical Drafter with a focus on plumbing and sanitary systems.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant drafting software.
• Experience in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and budget management for plumbing systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations related to plumbing and sanitary systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with large-scale construction projects.
• Certification in Quantity Surveying.
• Familiarity with CAD and other technical skills required.

Job Description:

Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in Aluminium Industry preferred

Extensive knowledge and experience in costing and estimating construction projects

High proficiency with Microsoft office software in Excel & Word

Matured with good interpersonal and communication skills

Able to perform cost estimation, quantity take off and cost evaluation

1. Job responsibilities:

• Conduct daily pre-start meetings with the maintenance team
• Coordinate and assign daily maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to standards and quality
• Supervise the work and update document daily maintenance jobs with photos and reports
• Prepare maintenance reports
• Perform periodic inspections of all boats to ensure operational readiness
• Manage inventory by ensuring consumable material and spare parts are adequately stocked
• Plan and coordinate periodic drydocking schedules and boat surveys effectively and allocating manpower for each task
• Conduct periodic risk assessment and onboard orientation sessions
• Organize and execute safety and fire drills on all boats
• Ensure that all maintenance and repair activities are carried out safely and efficiently
• Ensure maintenance facilities are well maintain and clean

2. Requirements:

• Proficiency in basic computer software, MicroExcel and Word including emails
• Physically fit and capable of working outdoor
• Knowledge and experience in mechanical engineering or marine-related work preferred
• Strong organizational and coordination skills
• Able to work overtime when needed

3. Working Hours:

• Monday to Saturday from 8.30am to 5.30pm
