Requirements

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Traffic Controller in SH Cogent Logistics Pte Ltd. The Traffic Controller will assign trucking to Prime Mover Drivers to truck containers; ensure timely deliveries, efficient route planning and effective communication with drivers and clients.

1. Manage trucking activities to fulfill customers’ delivery requirement
2. Provide real-time updates on job progress in the system
3. Monitor truck and delivery status to optimize resources
4. Coordinate container trucking consignments with Prime Mover Drivers and customers
5. Ensure the accuracy of driver incentives for drivers
6. Perform counseling to Prime Mover Drivers when necessary
7. Adhere to statutory / company safety and health policies, procedures, and regulations
8. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time

Requirements

1. Nitec or equivalent qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, transportation or a related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience in deployment of drivers for trucking/ loose cargo jobs.
3. Strong understanding of land transportation regulations, routes, and logistical considerations in Singapore.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, clients and internal stakeholders.
5. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
6. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to:

• To work with the Qualified Person (QP) to develop structural scheme for structures and buildings.
• To carry out engineering analysis to assess the stability and load to be sustained by the structures.
• To carry out engineering design in according with Eurocodes or relevant international design codes.
• To prepare submission to authorities for approval of design.
• Provide technical advice to team members/colleagues in supporting or leading role and embrace a culture that values teamwork
• To attend project meetings with Client, Project Manager and Consultants from other disciplines.
• To attend site progress meetings and reply to technical queries.
• To lead junior engineer in delivering design and seek clearance for all relevant parties and authorities
• To conduct supervision & contract administration when required

Key Requirements

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with design of multi-storey/high-rise building from a local engineering consulting environment will be an advantage.
• Those registered as Professional Engineer with PEB and/or have more relevant working experience will be considered for senior role.
• Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures.
• Competent user of relevant engineering software.
• Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English.
• Able to interact and work with colleagues and member of other consultants at various levels.
