Duties and Responsibilities:

Fabrication:

1. Material Preparation:Select and prepare solid surface materials (e.g., Corian, LG HI-MACS, Staron) based on project specifications.
   Cut, shape, and sand materials using specialized tools and machinery to achieve the desired design.
   
2. Assembly:Bond pieces together seamlessly using adhesives and heat techniques.
   Ensure smooth, joint-free surfaces by sanding and polishing finished products.
   
3. Quality Control:Inspect fabricated items for defects or irregularities.
   Verify measurements and finishes align with design specifications.
   

Reading Construction Drawings:

1. Plan Interpretation:Accurately interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs to guide fabrication and installation.
   Identify critical dimensions, material specifications, and installation methods.
   
2. Problem Solving:Address discrepancies or ambiguities in drawings.
   Collaborate with designers, architects, or project managers to clarify design intent.
   

Leadership:

1. Team Management:Lead and coordinate a team of installers, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
   Assign tasks based on team members' skills and experience.
   
2. Training and Mentorship:Train new installers on proper techniques and safety protocols.
   Promote best practices to maintain high-quality work standards.
   
3. Communication:Serve as the point of contact between the fabrication team and other stakeholders.
   Provide progress updates, address challenges, and resolve on-site issues effectively.
   

Installation:

1. Site Preparation:Ensure the installation site is ready by coordinating with other trades and clearing obstructions.
   Take accurate site measurements for final adjustments.
   
2. On-Site Execution:Oversee the installation of solid surface materials to meet design specifications.
   Ensure all installations are secure, level, and free of visible seams or defects.
   
3. Customer Interaction:Address client concerns during and after installation.

Safety and Compliance:

1. Safety Protocols:Adhere to workplace safety standards and use personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently.
