UWCSEA Dover has a vacancy for August 2025 for a Teacher of High School and Middle School Design Technology.

Job description Subject Knowledge and Methodological Competence

• Gives practical analysis of the courses to create interest.

• Develops the lesson plan in accordance with the curriculum guidelines and presents the lesson plans to the academic coordinators for approval.

• Plans lessons based on inquiry, focussed on conceptual understanding, differentiated to meet the needs of all learners, and informed by assessment (formative and summative)

• Reviews the feedback from the academic coordinators and revises the lesson plans accordingly

• Keeps up to date with the latest teaching aids, such as the use of technology in classroom learning, and integrate these into the teaching process

• Creates challenging and engaging learning opportunities for students, and fosters a classroom atmosphere that is conducive for learning

• Develops worksheets, handouts, and other learning materials in line with the lesson plan and curriculum, as well as the assessments and examinations.

• Responsible for the timely marking and correction of assignments completed by the students

Hiring Teacher to teach:

• IGCSE Secondary 1 to 3 English Language

Salary range (Full Time): $3000 to $3800 per month (commensurate with experience)

Location: Orchard Campus

Working hours: Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm

(Part Time positions available as well)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and conduct lessons according to the course syllabus and scheme of work
• Provide necessary supervision to the students and report students’ discipline issues to the Student Affairs staff
• Schedule and prepare examination papers and assignments
• Monitor the performance and progress of each student, including academic counselling
• Give feedback to Management about the continual improvement of the class performance
• Mark and grade all course work, assignments and examination papers
• Give feedback to Management on the course proceedings at the end of semester/course/modules
• Participate in programme review meetings

Requirements:

• Minimum a Bachelors Degree
• At least 1 year of relevant experience
