Job Responsibilities:

• Has shift responsibilities and is accountable for the smooth running of the Kitchen
• Responsible for staff management, product quality, food cost and staff recruitment
• Develop and maintain the highest standard of product quality
• Create a sound and strong working relationship with all staff and help to develop their maximum potential
• Evaluate the operations and procedures and suggest improvements
• Ensure food items are prepared according to company standards of quality and consistency
• To assist in conducting training for the subordinates to maintain on a constant basis the highest possible of product quality and conduct in a first class manner
• Responsible for food sales and wastage
• Enforcement of hygiene regulations and upkeep of the kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standard
• Responsible for the submission in a timely manner, all reports, schedules etc
• To attend all meetings and training programs when required

The Challenges:

• Assist in food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and maintaining a smooth workflow.
• Handle ingredient preparation, basic cooking tasks, and ensure kitchen efficiency.
• Prepare and cook dishes while maintaining food quality and presentation standards.
• Oversee a specific kitchen section, ensuring quality and timely preparation of dishes.
• Support the Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations and team performance.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cuisine dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Excellence: Prepare a wide range of viennoiserie products, including croissants, pain au chocolat, and other laminated dough creations, in a high-volume production environment.
• Lamination Mastery: Execute precise dough lamination techniques to achieve consistency and quality across all pastries.
• Recipe Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with standardized recipes and production processes to maintain Tiong Bahru Bakery’s quality benchmarks.
• Batch Scaling & Management: Accurately measure and manage batch sizes to meet daily and weekly distribution demands for our outlets.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular checks to ensure all products meet visual and taste standards before distribution.
• Hygiene & Safety: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety within the central kitchen, adhering to HACCP and other regulatory requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the central kitchen team to optimize workflow and achieve production goals efficiently.

Qualifications:
