Job Description:
· Manage and oversee operations of accounts department
· Responsible for monthly and yearly closing of financial accounts
· Provide analysis for monthly management reports
· Provide accurate and timely tax and accounting reports to the management and relevant authorities
· Review procedures and policies to suggest improvements with emphasis on governance and internal controls and the subsequent implementation
· Work with management and various stakeholders to determine working capital needs and funding strategies
· Work closely with other departments on digitalisation project
· Play in key and active role in budgeting and forecasting activities, and costing matters
· Plan and coordinate the annual financial audit
· Tax planning and annual tax reporting matters
· Review and submit quarterly GST submissions and annual tax submissions
· Liaise with corporate secretary, auditor, tax agent, bankers and other relevant government agencies
· Responsible for compliance with statutory requirements
· Provides support and guidance when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise
Requirements:
· Degree in Accounting or professional certificate such as ACCA, CA or equivalent
· Preferably at least 5 years of relevant experience
· Have in-depth knowledge of local accounting standards and tax regulations
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Good analytical and problem solving skills
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Attention to details
· Able to guide and lead the accounts team
