ISCE2 is looking for a highly motivated candidate with great interpersonal skills to join Lab and Facilities Division. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to ISCE2 by the following:

Job Description

1.Able to carry out manual work includes carry tables, chairs etc.

2.General cleaning duties for classrooms, special rooms, school field etc.

3.Traffic warden, security duties, able to carry out minor repairs, DIY and assist the School to supervise term contractors when necessary.

4.Able to perform shift duty.

5.Any other duties as assigned by the School.

Lab Application Engineer (Equipment Maintenance/ Adhesives/ Chemicals)

12 Months Contract

Location: Commonwealth

Industry: Chemicals / Consumer Goods

Salary: Up to $5,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Performs / supports completion of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plan on all product related performance complaints
• Supports internal and external technical requests and projects
• Completes Customer Technical Request Testing and Reports within the database or equivalent
• Writes customer facing reports for the Field Sales/Application Engineering teams, Key Account Managers, Marketing, Product Development and Innovations or project team
• Runs and upkeeps laboratory equipment, leads/supports ongoing standardization, harmonization and administration of laboratory test methods
• Ensures laboratory and application equipment are calibrated and safety checked in compliance with local regulations
• Responsible for directly communicating with the Field Sales/Application Engineering teams, Key Account Managers or project team
• Performs customer lab demonstrations and customer training
• To assist in day-to-day laboratory operations e.g. arrangement for testing, inventory control of laboratory supplies and chemicals, etc
• Maintain and upkeep laboratory records, including documentations for inventories, SDS and safety
• Ensure that all safety guidelines are always followed strictly and maintain good housekeeping
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or relevant Engineering/technical discipline
• 1-3 years working experience in the laboratory with knowledge on adhesives and/or handling equipment such as DSC, TGA, TMA, DMA, rheometer
• Proactive team player with the ability to work independently
• Knowledgeable in Power Point, Word, Excel, and Statistical Analysis Software

JOB DESCRIPTION

ISCE2 is looking for a highly motivated candidate with great interpersonal skills to join Lab and Facilities Division. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to ISCE2 by the following:

1. Upkeep and ensure good lab housekeeping for designated laboratories, sufficient supplies of common chemical and laboratory consumables (including procurement) etc.
2. Lab ambassadors to promote sustainable lab operations and greening of laboratories.
3. Ensure common equipment functionality and its operation within required limits by internal and external preventive maintenance.
4. Initiation and coordinate disposal of unwanted, obsolete chemicals and generated waste in designated laboratory.
5. Ensure all new laboratory personnel receive laboratory induction and specific lab operational procedures before they commence work in the lab.
6. Ensure lab occupants (i.e., staff and students) comply with general laboratory safety rules. Communicates information on identified hazards and precautions to all lab users.
7. Initiate and coordinate all necessary corrective actions to rectify safety discrepancy found in the lab.
8. Maintain up-to-date chemical inventory and ensure Safety Datasheet (SDS) for chemicals are readily available for respective laboratories.
9. Coordinate the compilation and maintain laboratory documentation (equipment manuals, equipment standard operating procedures, maintenance records and inventory record of regulated chemicals).

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Diploma or degree related to chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Prior work experience in a laboratory is not a requirement but an added advantage.
• Team player with initiative, drive and good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

• Willing to work on all ISCE2 sites including main site at Jurong Island (Shuttle buses are available at various locations for commute into and out of Jurong Island site).
