• Proper use of a variety of tools and equipment such as measuring devices, testing equipment, power tools and construction equipment. This includes test lamps, oscilloscopes and ammeters.
• Maintaining an up to date electrician’s license or identification card which meets all government regulations.
• Performing replacements for electrical wirings and equipment which have been diagnosed as faulty. The most common examples of this are switches, relays and motors. They also set up sensing mechanisms and utilize the correct usage of hand tools and power tools.
• Carrying out the correct diagnosis of all electrical wirings and equipment which are malfunctioning. The most common example of this is printed circuit boards.
• Ensuring the proper replacement of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components of electrical equipment and machines which have been diagnosed as faulty.
• Performing other electrical related tasks such as repairing time clocks, transforming coil winders, maintaining salvage repairs and functioning as an underground repairman.
• Effectively assisting and managing electrical duties related to a contractor’s roles.
• Effectively assisting the regulation and administration of duties and responsibilities related to junior technicians.
• Organizing and ensuring the use of safety maintenance principles and guidelines related to scheduling and regulating breakdowns.e in building or facilities maintenance

Job Responsibilities

Support Operations Supervisor in operating the chemical processing plant to ensure quality product and to meet business targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• operate, monitor process equipment to ensure that the process is operating within defined conditions and product specifications
• work with Operations DCS Technician to deal efficiently and effectively with any deviation in process parameters to ensure “Zero” safety and environment incident
• patrolling, inspection of field equipment and data logging

The Candidate should have:

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related discipline or
• NITEC/Higher NITEC in Chemical Process Technology, with minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
• 2-5 years field operations experience in a high hazard chemical plant, with DCS experience would be advantageous
• Preferable to have a Boiler Attendant 1st grade (preferred) or 2nd grade and/or Steam Engineer 1st grade (preferred) or 2nd grade.
• Commitment and adherence to safety systems
• Strong analytical thinking, practical problem-solving and good communication skills
• Conversant with World Class SHE and Operational principles relevant to operation of high hazard plant
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-discipline and multi-cultural team in a high pressure environment
• Good command in English and computer literacy
• Able to perform shift work
